Hi everyone - sorry for the radio silence. Been focusing work and some other necessary distractions!

I found a great document on Jim Adam's car in '66 and beyond here (for those interested) - link to PDF.

What's missing in all of its amazing glamour and detail, however, is what the #55 Elva MkII's rear looked like in the day... any ideas?

I believe it had two exhausts exiting - and protruding a good 6 inches or so - from the centre of the rear bodywork...?

Probably not dissimilar to Bud Morley's car at St Jovite.

Very cool document. I recall the photos of it in its street form from old threads here. "antonvrs" worked on the conversion:http://forums.autosp...dpost&p=1974381 (The photos are currently missing.)

Jim Adams spun at the 1966 Laguna Seca Can Am so you can see the rear of the car.  Here is a link:

Also, from current owner Eric Haga of Seattle:

"...My plans for the HSC McLaren next year is to enter it in the Mt. Tremblant, Road America and Laguna Seca Can-Am anniversary events, perhaps the Indy vintage event as well.

Had a couple of runs with it this fall, Sears Point and COTA.  It sure is a great fun to drive, a very forgiving car to drive.  You can enjoy getting sideways, where the F5000 cars are demanding and precise..."

Hi Vince - that is so frustrating... have been through those libraries so many times and yet seem to have missed these shots... thank you so much for opening my eyes to them!

This is exactly what I needed - they confirm what I suspected it looked like so all good!

You guys are SuperAwesome

@Group7 - thanks, I believe those images are the PDF are roughly the same set, so one has borrowed from the other but a great resource nonetheless!
