Amazingly, the official Pacific Grand Prix website is still online!  http://www.pacificgr....com/index.html

Enjoy some blocky glory.

Still visit that site occasionally.

Old **** is great.

The best old relic around is the Space Jam website. It still looks ace twenty years on.

Does anyone else find it amzing that the team's sponsors included Interflora and an office furniture company?  I wish teams would try and get random firms like that on their cars these days.

The Pacific Grand Prix team doesn't have a press release for the Pacific Grand Prix.

What makes you think they are not trying?

I'd love to see a team approach PornHub* for a deal

*Is that what it's called? I seem to have overheard a couple of rapscallions talking about it in a pub last year..... :)

There was a Honda in MotoGP sponsored by Playboy a few years ago. Presumably so the likes of Norman Mailer, Annie Leibovitz and Jimmy Carter could provide stimulating discussion at hospitality events.

Print magazines! If that's not 1990s nostalgia I don't know what is.

It's a tribute we must presume.  Not like the domain and hosting fees would be expensive, for such a low traffic site with low bandwidth content!

Don't forget the "way back machine" website if that can still archive webpages in the age of XML and database-generated webpages etc.

I'm liking the team sponsor page.

Each one gets one line description. Not like today's paragraphs which nobody really understands.

Kenwood from Pacific
Advanced communications systems.

KPMG from McLaren
KPMG have become the ‘Pioneer’ Innovation Partner of the McLaren Group, a strategic alliance that aims to apply McLaren Applied Technologies’ (MAT’) predictive analytics and technology to KPMG’s audit and advisory services.

MAT and KPMG will jointly develop and deliver a unique range of advisory services. Companies will be able to draw upon a combination of KPMG’s longstanding consulting pedigree and business insight, paired with McLaren’s high performance culture and technical know-how.

Simon Collins, UK Chairman of KPMG, commented: “Our alliance with McLaren gives us the opportunity to accelerate the transformation of our audit and advisory businesses. McLaren has honed sophisticated predictive analytics and technologies that can be applied to many business issues. We believe this specialist knowledge has the power to radically transform audit, improving quality and providing greater insight to management teams, audit committees and investors. The same is true of our advisory services, where we believe applying McLaren’s predictive analytics and know-how to, for example, a complex international supply chain, could help our clients make a step change in the service they provide to their customers.”

Say What?

"Portuguese Grand Prix
Race Report, 24 September 1995

JEAN-DENIS DELETRAZ (CH): Retired - severe cramp

"basically the car was good and I was confident of driving a good race, but then I started to get very bad cramp in my left arm and this made it very difficult to steer the car, so I decided it was better to stop."

Reminds me, how I was doing simple and small amateur web pages for fun, when I was at school LOL.
