Over complicated and a waste of time. An attempt to mix up the grid but that would happen under the old system. Team still saving tyres. Give it 4 races and revert to the old system but keep the radio ban.

It doesn't work. I think it could be good if Q3 was left unchanged, and Q1 & Q2 were combined in to one longer session - with more tyres.

The fact that the timer is still ticking away is embarrassing for the Formula 1 community.

Wow what a complete joke this qualifying system is. It can drive a sane man insane.

For the life of me I cant understand why we cant go back to qualifying system of the 90s.

1 hour for all. 12 laps  4 sets of tires.

Does anyone remember suzuka 2000 qualy? 2000 imola ??

I'd like to applaud Bernie, he's managed to make Qually the most boring part of a race weekend. I thought that was an impossible task, but nope, he's managed it.

Was it definitely Bernie who decided this new qualy format?

Because if it was, there is the prime example of why this man should retire.

And after all the hassle to push this through pre season, it wasn't broken, they made a mess of changing it, and it doesn't work. Well done F1.

It was either this or time ballast, that's what Bernie wanted, which is insane.

I voted with 2 minutes before the end of qualifying, pole having been decided 2 minutes before that.

Says it all.

It obviously did not work, but I try not to knock people giving something a try. We get a bunch of quallys, I am sure missing out on one wont kill us. However.. if they don't revert back for the next race they are morons!

Damning for the format is that during Q3 I was able to post a new topic, complete with poll, from my phone (not the easiest of tasks) without missing any action.

I quite liked it, it showed the real problem which is the crappy tires and the fact you can't even go to track because you have to keep saving sets.
