One of the most action packed motorsport weekends ever is coming, to satisfy our thirst of racing: F1, IndyCar, MotoGP, F4, F3 aaaand...Formula E.
The Round six of the Formula E 2015/2016 Season is going to be crucial for the championship: in the streets of Long Beach a battle is coming. Can Lucas Di Grassi come back after Mexico's disappointment and challenge Buemi for the title?
Before going into detail, le't take a look at what happened in Mexico
Maybe it wasn't the craziest Formula E race of all time, but Mexico delivered a solid one with plenty of drama. Lucas Di Grassi drove a perfect race, overtaking Prost before the pit-stop and attacking Jerome d'Ambrosio for the lead, thanks to the FanBoost, one lap later.
Buemi tried to copy the brazilian rival, but faced the D'Ambrosio wall: Buemi tried everything but always found the door closed. He even cut the chicane and created a lot of chaos behind, when tried to give position back to d'Ambrosio.
Di Grassi won on track, but the brazilian was stripped down of his victory due to an underweight car (by 1.8 kg), another huge mistake by the ABT team after last year's Berlin.
THE STANDINGS -------------------------------------------------------------------
THE TRACK ------------------------------------------------------------------
QUALI RECORD: 56''853 (Buemi)
RACE RECORD : 58''973 (Prost)
The track uses a modified configuration of the iconic Long Beach street circuit in South California, which is the longest running in the US, beginning in 1975 and hosting Formula 1 from 1976 to 1983 before staging annual CART, Champ Car and IndyCar races.
At 2.1km and featuring seven turns, the Formula E cars will use the same iconic start/finish line adjacent to the Marina before heading off in a clockwise direction past the Rainbow Lagoon.
They will then turn right onto South Pine Avenue before re-joining with the more familiar track configuration. The cars will then pass around the grounds of the Convention Centre before a final right-hand hairpin brings them back across the start/finish line to complete the lap.
Circuit is basically unchanged since last year!
