Rated it a 6/10 - an enjoyable race.
Best Driver: It's hard to say, as even those that impressed weren't without fault. I'll give the nod to Vettel this time.
Worst Driver: Bottas. Way too often clumsy in direct battles.
Best Team: Mercedes, of course.
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Bottas was inspired, and he didn't even completely run him off the road! That was nice and made for a good change from the DRS passes.
Best Moment: There wasn't one single moment that stood out for positive reasons, even though there was plenty of fun to be had. The amateur hour in the pitlane was quite memorable, though.
DRS + Tyres: DRS is dreadful, but the three compounds might just be the best thing Pirelli has ever done.
And the race in a sentence: Terrible at the start, awful stewarding, but became a proper race after the safety car.

Best Driver: Danny Ric
Worst Driver: Well, basically those who were involved in the destruction derby at the start
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: LH on Bottas
Best Moment: No one retiring
DRS + Tyres: Unnecessary here
And the race in a sentence: Great race, but as an LH fan, i have to say, it was quite disappointing.

Best Driver: Ricciardo
Worst Driver: Vettel - his mistake damaged his team mate. Then he was classless enough to suggest it was Kyvat's "fault".
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Kyvat on Vettel
Best Moment: I enjoyed the whole race. Can't nominate a particular point.
DRS + Tyres: OK
And the race in a sentence: Too much going on. Had difficulty following what was going on for a while there! Very entertaining.
Give it a 7/10.

Best Driver: Rosberg, Ricciardo, Raikkonen
Worst Driver: Bottas, Vettel (for acting like an idiot trying to shift blame for crash on Kvyat when it was his fault)
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Kimi on Hamilton - I liked everything about it. Fact that Kimi overtook Hamilton and fact that he outsmarted him on braking. It was amazing.
Best Moment: Kimi passing Massa and hearing crowd cheering him
DRS + Tyres: /
And the race in a sentence: It was good, but I don't like that nowdays it more looks like amateurs are driving. Pieces of cars everywhere on the track.
Posted 17 April 2016 - 08:42
Best Driver: Ricciardo and Kimi for their recoveries. Rosberg for his win and great drive.
Worst Driver: Vettel but not for the racing incident (even if I believe he could have avoided it by just lifting a little). I didn't like his after race discussion with Kvyat. Also, Bottas wasn't impressive.
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Kimi on Hamilton.
Best Moment: The restart with all the battles.
DRS + Tyres: ..........
And the race in a sentence: Interesting 8/10

Best driver: Vettel, Ricciardo (overtook the field, in the case of Vettel with a damaged car)
Worst driver: Hamilton (what the hell was that?)

Worst Driver: Grosjean
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton
Best Moment: Kvyat standing up to Vettel in the press conference
DRS + Tyres: Fine
And the race in a sentence: Highly entertaining, but ultimately ruined by the key cars having damage.

Best Driver: Ricciardo (f
Worst Driver: Bottas, Hamilton (despite having damaged car he was clearly faster than Massa xduring that part yet wasn't able to do anything) and Vettel (for crying throughout the race and even after the race)
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Bottas
Best Moment: Ricciardo overtaking Hamilton

Best Driver: Ricciardo, great battle through the grid to get back to 4th.
Worst Driver: Grosjean, just didn't seem to want to be there this weekend.
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Kvyat spotting the Ferrai's running deep into turn one and taking the advantage.
Best Moment: The whole race was fun.
DRS + Tyres: ...
And the race in a sentence: Another banger race at the start but it ended with some great driving throughout the grid.

8/10, close to 9/10
Best Driver: Daniel Ricciardo
Worst Driver: Hamilton was clearly off key, but I give him some benefit of the doubt because of the possible damage to his car. Maybe Bottas, maybe Palmer.
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton, superb stuff
Best Moment: Too many to mention. Really liked how Ricciardo, Raikkonen and also Verstappen carved through the field. Kudos to Kvyat as well for holding his own against Vettel after the race.
DRS + Tyres: OK, the extra compound choice really livens things up.
And the race in a sentence: Great race, thoroughly enjoyable, it's just a pity that especially Ricciardo and Raikkonen were hit by bad luck.

Best Driver: Danny Ric
Worst Driver: No-one in particular
Best Team: Has to be Red Bull - both finished higher than they would have dared hope, even after Danny's puncture.
Best Overtake: Danny Ric on Hamilton or Seb's on Hulkenberg and Verstappen (or was it Sainz?)
Best Moment: Anything but the first corner....
DRS + Tyres: Most of the tyres were left along the sides of the DRS zone.
Posted 17 April 2016 - 10:13
Best Driver: Ric
Worst Driver: Nasr
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Kvyat turn 1
Best Moment: Vettel throwing a wobbly after the race.

Best Driver: Vettel / Ricciardo due to their fantastic recoveries.
Worst Driver: I don't think anyone was particularly rubbish. Maybe Bottas?
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Kimi on Hamilton
Best Moment: Vettel nailing Kvyat on his outlap.
DRS + Tyres: Tyres added to the spectacle. DRS is pointless here.
And the race in a sentence: Best of the year, and probably the best Chinese GP since 2007.

8/10 -1 point for Ricciardo's puncture, +1 point for his recovery
Best Driver: Ricciardo, great start, amazing recovery
Worst Driver: Vettel because butt hurt
Best Team: Red Bull, great results despite handicap
Best Overtake: Kyvat on Vettel, great drama
Best Moment: 1st lap chaos
DRS + Tyres: Phoney as always

Best Moment: Pitlane chaos and Vettel jumping Hulkenberg en Sainz because the don't know the rules
DRS + Tyres: Tyres where fine, DRS was overpowered as expected really

Excellent race, with lots of overtaking...actually a record amount of overtaking! 123 overtakes in flying laps (start and pitstop overtakes not counted) so it broke the earlier record of Brazil 112 overtakes.

Best Driver: Rosberg/Ricciardo
Worst Driver: none really
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton
Best Moment: Vettel using his headmeat and passing 2 cars in the pits, a Schumi type of move.
DRS + Tyres: DRS still sucks as does the 'cheese' tyres
And the race in a sentence: Best race of the last two seasons, entertaining from start to end
9/10
Posted 17 April 2016 - 14:05
Best Driver: Flip a coin
Worst Driver: None
Best Team: All the teams that finished
Best Overtake: Any that wasn't the result of DRS or Knackered Pirelli's
Best Moment: The end and going back to bed.
DRS + Tyres: Tyres are always worst than DRS
And the race in a sentence: Nothing special 6/10
Posted 17 April 2016 - 14:18
Best Driver: Lots of contenders, because there were lots of excellent drives, but I pick Hamilton, he started at the back, was driving a damaged car the whole time, therefore lots of pit stops to change chewed up tyres and still finished in the points. Strong argument can be made for Ricciardo, though I'm calling that a team effort.
Worst Driver: Nasr for coming across Hamilton to knock his wing off... close contender: Ericsson for similar imposition on Grosjean
Best Team: Red Bull for managing Ricciardo's tire failure and the rest of the race weekend such that he finished very strong and got Kvyat on the podium.
Best Overtake: Hamilton late in the race before his tires completely died (I think over Bottas and Perez) and he had to settle for just hanging on in the points.
Best Moment: Vettel's pit lane overtake, that was in-your-face and surprising because so rarely seen.
DRS + Tyres: I don't think DRS had any effect but the tyres were massive in so many strategies, none of them working well, the pressures a bit high (which I think hurt Haas more than any other team). Yet, I don't think badly of the tyres because clearly the 3 tyre choices makes for wide variety of strategies.
And the race in a sentence: In search of a workable tyre.

7/10.
Best Driver: Ricciardo. He's been impressive all weekend.. Shout out to Kvyat and Nico Rosberg too.
Worst Driver: Ericsson probably
Best Team: Red Bull have made a lot of progress
Best Overtake: I really enjoyed Kvyat's first corner.
Best Moment: The first lap chaos.
DRS + Tyres: DRS is getting boring now, or at least don't use it at tracks like China where overtaking is easy anyway (it worked well in Melbourne at least). The tyres were great.
And the race in a sentence: First third was frantic, but ultimately it all felt a bit empty with the ease of overtaking. But certainly worth getting up for.

Best Driver: Ricciardo
Worst Driver: I don't know, really hard to say... maybe Nasr, Palmer or Bottas
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton
Best Moment: Wehrlein on 4th and Haryanto on 8th position at one point of the race .
DRS + Tyres: There was so many overtaking moves...
Posted 17 April 2016 - 15:03
I gave it 9/10
Best Driver: Ricciardo. Honorable mentions to Rosberg, Vettel, Räikkönen and Verstappen
Worst Driver: No one really stood out. I'll go with Grosjean
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Vettel on Sainz and the Hulk in the pit entry
Best Moment: All the overtakes after the restart.
DRS + Tyres: Some might say it was a bit too much, but I loved it
And the race in a sentence: Crazy!

I'm honestly shocked at that.

Best Driver: Daniel Ricciardo. Honourable mentions for the 2 Ferrari boys.
Worst Driver: I'm not sure if he had a problem or not but Palmer finishing last is poor.
Best Team: Ferrari. Great strategy for both drivers.
Best Overtake: Hamilton on Bottas.
Best Moment: The battle between Ricciardo, Raikkonen, Massa, Hamilton and Bottas.

8/10
Best Driver: Ricciardo, though Kyvat and Raikkonen also had strong races
Worst Driver: Vettel for over-reacting as Kyvat came level with him in turn 1, then having a go at him in the driver's room.
Best Team: Red Bull managing to maintain mid-corner speed in the long-duration corners despite reducing wing levels to prevent them being too slow on the straights.
Worst team: Jointly awarded to Mercedes for a baffling strategy on Hamilton's car (presumably they thought they could get to the end on softs, as they switched him onto supersofts for a lap under the SC), and Haas for a disappointing showing after the first two races.
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on Hamilton into turn 6.
Best Moment: McLarens running well up after the Safety Car.
DRS + Tyres: DRS too powerful down the back straight as always at Shanghai; tyres OK, though Ricciardo's failure was concerning.
And the race in a sentence: Eventful and entertaining, but difficult to follow in a highlights package.
Posted 17 April 2016 - 16:32
Best Driver: Ricciardo. I don't know if that Red Bull was carrying any damage after the puncture, but it was a masterful recovery drive with some quality overtakes.
Worst Driver: Nasr's letting his poor form go to his head. Capped off a bizarre accusation that the team are favouring Ericsson on Saturday with a crap drive on Sunday. Honourable mentions also to Bottas, Palmer and Hamilton (though to be fair, the latter may have been carrying damage after turn 1).
Best Team: I'm gonna say Manor. 22 cars got to the end today, and a Manor wasn't last! And Wehrlein finished ahead of both Renaults! Props.
Best Overtake: Very much liked the aforementioned Ricciardo divebombing Hamilton, but perhaps only because it's nice to see a Merc get merked. A better choice would probably be Button around the outisde of Bottas(?) early on.
Best Moment: Hamilton's Mercedes being overtaken by Raikkonen and Ricciardo. Nothing personal, but the more Mercedes win the more I want them to lose.
DRS & Tyres: Alright, I guess. That back straight does not need DRS.
And the race in a sentence: Everything you could ask for except a battle for the lead. 8/10

Best Driver: Without a doubt Daniel Ricciardo, although Vettel had a good comback aswell.
Worst Driver: Hulkenberg for the pitlane entry incident
Best Team: Red Bull as they have been faultless all weekend
Best Overtake: Ricciardo on 2 cars at the first corner, one of them was the renault of palmer
Best Moment: Vettel overtaking 2 cars on pit entry, cheeky
DRS + Tyres: Pirelli actually doing what they are supposed to do, multiple pitstop races. Shame about Ricciardos tyre though, DRS probably was a bit too powerful on the main straight however.
And the race in a sentence: Another hectic but good race which allowed drivers to show their racecraft

The scramble at the start and the safety car created some interesting shuffle that resulted in non-usual positions for faster cars. The different compounds are achieving what they are supposed to and what they did before: create better racing thanks to cars and drivers having more choice to optimize the car-tyre combo. If they scrap the stupid mandatory use of compound rule, it will improve even more. And then, of course, this being the 3rd year of the new regs, teams are a bit closer and that's creating closer races. That's what rule stability does to F1.
