The most anticipated round of the 2015/2016 Formula E Season has come: a huge achievement for the category to race in the streets of Paris after another good showing in Long Beach!

Paris, a city where cultures mixed together in time, leading to extraordinary cultural, artistic & humanistic achievements. Formula E will race in one of the most iconic locations in the city center, Les Boulevard des Invalides, around the iconic Hotel des Invalides.

What happened last race

Two weeks ago Formula E was racing in the streets of Long Beach, another milestone in the Formula E Calendar. In front of thousands of fans, Lucas Di Grassi managed to take victory after an initial battle with the poleman Sam Bird.
The brazilian managed to overtake the englishman, wich later went too deep on the brakes and went straight on, losing positions.

In the opening laps it was Buemi to loose his cool, crashing in the back of Robin Frijns while attempting to come back after a disappointing quali.

Championship standings

With 5 rounds remaining, the championship battle is going to ignite in Paris!
Lucas di Grassi now leads by just 1 point on Sebastien Buemi, but Sam Bird & Jerome D'Ambrosio are not to underestimate, with a less than 40 points gap from the lead.

Paris Formula E Circuit

formula-e-paris-eprix-layout-2016-paris-

Lenght
: 2 Km
Turns: 14

It's going to be a real street challenge for the Formula E cars: the circuit combines fast sections with very technical ones & slow speed corners, similar to last year's Berlin's circuit. The track surface is going to be a challenge, with different kinds of surface & grip levels.

Some cobblestones sections were tarmac-ed on to preserve them from damage.

Looking at the early weather forecast, it MIGHT rain on saturday. First ever wet Formula E race?

The TimeTable

Wow, didn't even realise we're halfway through the season already. Would be a good time for Buemi to bounce back if he wants to win the title.

Looks very narrow, similar to Battersea Park. Is this the first race in Paris? I can't remember

Weather not looking good for the weekend, with very low temperatures & rain showers. Still days to come to confirm the forecast tho!

It would be the first time ever for a Formula E race weekend: just in Battersea Park saturday's quali, last year, the track was slightly wet. And we've seen plenty of drama

I had good hopes for this track looking at the early plans.  But now I see they have managed to make it stupidly narrow, even though the actual streets are plenty wide enough.  Who does the FE track designs, because he makes Tilke look like a genius?  At least there seem to be few bottleneck chicanes this time.  The pitlane is a bit crazy but that seems to be a FE trademark (apart for Long Beach where they showed that a normal pitlane works perfectly well and they don't need to have a round the houses layout).

No, the standard tyres are all-weather as they are treaded.

Yeah thought so wasn't sure if they had like an extreme wet but then they don't go fast enough anyway.

It's official!

Ma Quing-Hua to replace Salvador Duran till the end of the season, as part of the Chinese CMC takeover on Team Aguri.

Well, he's a decent driver, unfortunately Salvador didn't show much speed in those two sesons

Meanwhile, Vergne is running in the streets of Paris

Looking forward to this and love paris

I would want to go, but I had such a terrible view point from my "grandstand" at the London race last year that I'd rather watch on telly.

They need to move the barriers back from the track  bit so the spectators can see the cars on both sides of the track and racing under tree lined avenues whilst good for camera means you get to see action on the far side of the track for a distance of 100 m  and nothing else. (I was right on a left right chicane and could only see the braking zone and advertising on the fences made the view even worse - terrible value and a real shame)

Considering that mixed conditions are expected on saturday, drivers will have to adapt very quickly

Lot of action in FP1, circuit is very bumpy & with some cool fast sections, should allow good racing & drama!

Buemi the only man tu run a 200 KW, that lap wasn't very impressive tho. Di Grassi & Sarrazin looks the best out there so far

From what i hear , fan experience is really poor at Paris.

I went yesterday in order to meeting racing people but i already knew it wasn't worth it.

Paying 20€ without seating in 2km was worthless offer.

Not having seating in Le mans or Spa is not much of a problem but not here.

i have a feeling FIA will check that as we know sometimes its a bit dangerous to re enter race tracks
