Don't move (under braking)

In a midfield car
Racin' in a speedy world
He took the trulli train goin' no-oo-where
Just a future champ
Raced and trained in lower cats
He overtook the trulli train goin' for the wiiin

Two drivers in a championship
A lot of whine and moan is done
For a race they can share the track
They go round and round, and round, and round

...

Don't move (under braking)
Hold on to the racing line
straight line, that is

Don't push opponents
send them towards the grass
artificial, for sure

Don't stop racing'
Maybe do the undercuuut
Strategy, exciiiting

Floyd's, Another brick in toto's wall.

We don't need no intervention

We don't need no mental Max

No banging wheels with our LewLew

No knocking Nico from the tracks

Hey, Red Bull, leave our boys alone

Don't you know you're just another pain in the arse

Don't you know you're just another pain in the arse

HANDS DOWN - GOING THE DISTANCE (Cake) - Not a single change required

'She' can be the WDC.

"The Distance"

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
Engines pumping and thumping in time.
The green light flashes, the flags go up.
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.
They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.
Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.
Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn.
As they speed through the finish, the flags go down.
The fans get up and they get out of town.
The arena is empty except for one man,
Still driving and striving as fast as he can.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.

He's going the distance.
He's going for speed.
She's all alone
In her time of need.
Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse,
He's going the distance.

No trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no wine,
He's haunted by something he cannot define.
Bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse,
Assail him, impale him with monster-truck force.
In his mind, he's still driving, still making the grade.
She's hoping in time that her memories will fade.
Cause he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But he's striving and driving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.

Cause he's going the distance.
He's going for speed.
She's all alone
In her time of need.
Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
He's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
He's going the distance.
He's going for speed.
He's going the distance.

Pitlane Bling

You used to call me on my
You used to, you used to
Yeah
You used to call me on my radio
Late race when you need new tyres
Call me on my radio
Late race when you need new tyres
And I know when that pitlane bling
That can only mean one thing
I know when that pitlane bling
That can only mean one thing

Ever since I left the garage,
You got a reputation for yourself now
Everybody knows and I feel left out
Mate you got me down, you got me stressed out
'Cause ever since I left the garage,
you started crashing less and winning more
Block of titanium sparking under the floor
Hangin' with mechanics I've never seen before

You used to call me on my radio
Late race when you need new tyres
Call me on my radio
Late race when you need new tyres
I know…

I made a great* song about Herman Tilke a couple of years back, but I was just doing it in notepad for a laugh and managed to lose it before I could post it. This thread might inspire me to redo it, although I can't remember a thing apart from the chorus.

*When I say great, I mean I found it funny. It probably wasn't.

Just Give Me A Reason An Engine.
by P!ink and Nate Reuss Alonso and Yusuke Hasegawa (Honda's F1 boss)

Alonso:
Right from the start
we had a car the looked the part,
I'd even say it looked fast.
With Honda coming back again,
you'd give us a good powertrain,
instead you see I am aghast.

You told that we would be great
oh oh
just like nineteen eighty eight
oh oh
winning almost every race
of the year
the year

Just give me an engine
that will get me to the front
with ERS that's not broken or bent
and we can learn to win again
It will be three years, and it could all end in tears like '08
It is looking that bad, but we can learn to win again.

Hasegawa, Alonso in brackets:
I'm sorry I don't understand
where all of this is going wrong
I thought we would win (Just some points would do)
your deckchair's getting lots of use
our engineers get abuse
But you'll just have to wait (It's like GP2)
You know about the power of dreams
oh oh
we can be the best of teams
oh oh

Both:
Winning almost every race
of the year
the year
of the year
the year

Just give me an engine
that will get me to the front
with ERS that's not broken or bent
and we can learn to win again

Hasegawa:
We never stop,
we will get back to the top
of the grid

Both:
now the tokens have gone
and we can learn to win again

Alonso:
Your'e losing my trust
Hasegawa:
We'll do what we must
Alonso:
This thing will combust, if it's not enough
Hasegawa:
You're not at the back,
Alonso:
I cannot attack
Hasegawa:
It's not as bad as the Earth car
Alonso:
G...P...2!

Both:Just give me an engine
that will get me to the front
with ERS that's not broken or bent
and we can learn to win again
It will be three years, and it could all end in tears like '08
It is looking that bad, but we can learn to win again.

I only signed up for this one! Been reading here for years...

Madonna - La Isla Benetton

(aka Fernando Alonso's Dreams of 2005)

Last night I dreamt of Sao Paulo
Just like I'd never gone I knew the win
Fast car with tricks like the dampers
It all seems like yesterday not far away

Tropical (ah-ah) the exhaust breeze
All of V10 (ah-ah-ah-ah) wild and free
This is where I long to be
La Isla Benetton
And when (ah-ah) the engine worked
The score (ah-ah-ah-ah) would set so high
Yell through my ears and sting my eyes
I'm Spanish by the way

I want to be where the cars got refuelled
When it's time for siesta [<-- sitting in the deck chair]
You can watch years go by
Beautiful races no KERS in this world
Where a Honda won Indy, their star ... was a girl

Every race I take the grid (too much, Magic Haas)
To get in a Haas that makes points bids (too much, Magic Haas)
I'm so revved, I just sit and smile (too much, Magic Haas)
A podium finish is only another mile (too much, Magic Haas)

Thank you, Gene, for getting me here (too much, Magic Haas)
You're the constructor in high gear (too much, Magic Haas)
I don't want to cause no fuss (too much, Magic Haas)
But can I forever drive a Magic Haas? (too much, Magic Haas)

(No)

I don't care how much I'm paid (too much, Magic Haas)

I want to drive your Haas any which way (too much, Magic Haas)

I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it (you can't have it)

K-Mag and RoGro say every race
Just to drive to a new pay grade
K-Mag and RoGro say each race
'Cause they're driving in Haasyon days

Magic Haas, Magic Haas, Magic Haas
Magic Haas, Magic Haas, Magic Haas
Magic Haas, Magic Haas, Magic Haas
Magic Haas, Magic Haas, Magic Haas

I said, now I've got my Magic Haas (too much, Magic Haas)
I said, now I've got my Magic Haas (too much, Magic Haas)

Ferrari rumors? I don't care (too much, Magic Haas)

I'm gonna beat you, fair and square (too much, Magic Haas)

I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it
I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it

Every day you'll eat my dust (too much, Magic Haas)
As I drive past you in my Magic Haas (too much, Magic Haas)

It's Liberty's Pie     (American Pie by Don McLean)

A long long time ago

Fangio won Monaco
At three hours plus that's quite a trial
And I knew if I had the chance
That I'd head for the south of France
It's bucket list when you're an autophile

The Sport of Kings with danger's spice
The Prix is Grand but so's the price
Stirling said we accept
Some days would be tragic

I suppose I must have tried
To see the risk as justified
Au contraire I would decide
The day that Jim Clark died

Still

Wide-eyed after Jochen's last ride
Never Cevert'd the connection cause the fever was high
The anoraks at Abbey since Farina roared by
Singin' this'll be the day F1 died
This'll be the day F1 died

Do you like your starting fees?
I'll do a deal with the Grandees
You can sign away your fears

I'll just take commercial rights
The pie is big, don't mind my bites
By the way, it's for a hundred years

Well, I know that we love free-to-air
But old Murray was too much to bear
Sky if I have to choose
Martin Brundle's too good to lose

It was six bucks for admission when
The circus came up to The Glen
Count that now in Benjamins
So here I am outside -
Your target market!

Why, why, men of CVC, why
Did you Voldemort my sport until its coffers were dry?
The anoraks at Abbey since Farina roared by
Singin' this will be the way F1 dies
This'll be the way F1 dies

Now, it's "Keep your tyres in working range"
And "We can't afford an engine change"
But, that's not how it used to be

When Gilles and René ruled the roost
Paul Rosche went and upped the boost
To what? The dyno wouldn't say

Oh and Bellof and that other lad
Were closing fast - the crowd's gone mad!
Tell them, "Here, there's no way through"
Which they'll disprove, more fool you!

Have the runoffs ruined sweet Eau Rouge?
One Thirty R and Abu Douche
Tilkedromes if you need proof
Of how F1 has died
What next? We're cringing

Bye, bye, I'm out, Halo, that's why
Where's the beauty, sound and fury? All gone and so am I
The anoraks at Abbey since Farina roared by
Are packing up because your E-prix won't fly
Fold that in and F1 will die

"Moley Mole, Signor Domenicali"
"Copy that. Where is Nigel Stepney?
Get me the President and fast!"

"Prioritize or I'll screw you
Your people knew now so do you"
"Get me the President and fast!"

Now Ferrari had a stick to beat
Ron Dennis so they brought the heat
One hundred million fine
No points and where's your new design?

Said Alonso, "This was not our deal
Hamilton refused to yield!"
Do you recall what was revealed?
The consequence of pride
Will have you kneeling

Smack! Smack! Mosley, you is so wack!
But you ain't so high and mighty since your karma attacked
The anoraks at Abbey laugh at your exposed crack
Bringing memories of disrepute back
Memories of disrepute back

Oh, and we were all in Brands Hatch
Hunt: DSQ; our hopes were dashed
But our insistence won the day

Yes, it's true, James may tremble, James may puke
But in that car he's quite astute
Though fire is just one mistake away

Oh no! "Horror Crash!" on the front page
Our sport, for once, was all the rage
Niki made it back from Hell
That's one we love to tell

However flames climbed high about the pit
That's low: no fuel flow filter fit
Thanks to that Briatore git
What sport in F1 died
He's just beginning

Lie, lie, all that Flav does is lie
His programs aren't well hidden cause his sleaze is so sly
Adept at bringing ruin on the men by his side
Slingin's just the thing to help you and I,
Unless, that is, of course, if you die

I met a girl who used to use
A grid sign as a social ruse
But, "That's just not our brand today"

I went down to the Nurburgring
Where you'll find out just what you bring
But the man there said that F1 stayed away

Yet in the streets the tuners scream
With Fast and Furious on screen
But F1 hasn't woken
Their link with fans is broken

In this I've spent my life engrossed:
Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost
Now their legacy is toast
The way they raced has died
Remember "ING!! ING!!"

So try, try, Mister Chase Carey, try
Understanding one thing: passion. Just let it be your guide
Combustibles are dangerous - yes, it's a point of pride
If you'd rather not say, "Meh, F1 died"
Or it's just as well that meh F1 died.

Safety Dance Car

by

Men Without Hats Helmets

We can drive where we want to, we can leave those kerbs behind,
Cause your kerbs don't count and with four wheels out
We can drive over the lines
I say, we can drive where we want to, there is time that we can find,
And we can act like the tarmac is part of this track
Leave the real one far behind
And we can drive

We can drive where we want to, we don't always see eye to eye,
But the stewards don't care if this is unfair
So it's always worth a try

I say we can drive were we want to, we all know the others will
And we're all agreed that to carry our speed,
Be careful with the steering wheel
I say we can drive, we can drive, everything's under of control
We can drive, we can drive, we're doing it wall to wall
We can drive, we can drive, everybody take a wide line
We can drive, we can drive, everybody's taking the chance

Safety car
Oh well the safety car
Ah yes the safety car

We can drive where we want to, we've got all the track and more
As long as we abuse it, they'll let us use it
Everything'll work out right
I say, we can drive where we want to, we can leave those kerbs behind,
Cause your kerbs don't count and with four wheels out
We can drive over the lines
I say we can drive, we can drive, everything's under of control
We can drive, we can drive, we're doing it wall to wall
We can drive, we can drive, everybody take a wide line
We can drive, we can drive, everybody's taking the chance

Oh well the safety car
Ah yes the safety car
Oh well the safety car
Oh well the safety car
Oh yes the safety car
Oh the safety car yeah
Oh it's the safety car

It's the safety car
Well it's the safety car
Oh it's the safety car
Oh it's the safety car
Oh it's the safety car
Oh it's the safety car

Bottas woe

Nearing the end, after various fun,
I was starting to feel like I had won.
She felt so good, I was working her hard,
As we both approached the final yard.
My joy and elation at scoring this ride,
Was going to stop and start to subside.
All of a sudden I started to shudder,
I’d only gone and burst my rubber,
I was no more the focus, there’d be no more fun,
It was the last time I’d be ‘Number one’

These don't really need changing.

Trashed - Black Sabbath

It really was a meeting
The bottle took a beating
The ladies of the manor
Watched me climb into my car and
I was going down the track about a hundred and five
They had the stop-watch rolling
I had the headlights blazing I was really alive
And yet my mind was blowing
I drank a bottle of tequila and I feel real good
I had the tape deck roaring
But on the twenty-fifth lap at the canal turn
I went of exploring
I knew I wouldn't make it the car just wouldn't make it
I was turning tires burning
The ground was in my sky
I was laughing the bitch was trashed
And death was in my eye
I had started pretty good and I was feeling my way
I had the wheels in motion
There was Peter and the Green fly laughing like crazy
Inebriation
The crowd was roaring I was at Brands Hatch
In my imagination
But at the canal turn I hit an oily patch
Inebriation
Ooh Mr. Miracle you saved me from some pain
I thank you Mr. Miracle I won't get trashed again
Ooh can you hear my lies
Don't you bother with this fool just laugh into my eyes
So we went back to the bar and hit the bottle again
But there was no tequila
Then we started on the whiskey just to steady our brains
'Cause there was no tequila
And as we drank a little faster at the top of our hill
We began to roll
And as we get trashed we were laughing still
Well bless my soul
