I use my.autosport.com as my browser's start page, and EVERY TIME I open the browser, I am taken to https://www.autospor....autosport.com/ -- which has a big "Log Out" button.

From there, the ONLY way for me to get onto my.autosport.com is to click on "I don't want to log out yet, back to Autosport." -- which takes me to the frontpage, and from there type my.autosport.com in the browser address window (hell, there isn't even a link to it on the site).

Very annoying. Been going on for a while.

Kindly fix.

Thank you,

Bira

Suggestion that you should post more, bira.  :)

You reckon it would solve the issue? :D

I find it funny that I'm complaining about a piece of code *I* wrote 12 years ago... :)

Same thing here, I found that clicking the "homepage button" on your browser twice fixes it as well.

I've actually started some work on writing my own homepage because I fear it won't be long before myautosport gets removed entirely.

Well, quite truthfully, the day my.autosport.com is gone, I won't have a reason to visit autosport at all. Not saying that as a threat, but as a fact. Old habits die hard -- and my.autosport.com is my habit, and my gateway to anything that has to do with autosport.com at all. I don't think I'll proactively visit it otherwise.

p.s.

If I had time, I'd join you. We could build a homepage for Atlas F1 veterans :p

So is there any support on autpsport.com? Could I expect a response, or is this no longer possible?

Apologies for taking so long to answer - I've been out of the country (there's no WiFi in the campground next to Hockenheim) and just got back in front of a computer today!

As I mentioned in the other thread, we're going to put a completely revamped login system in place quite soon. Once that's in place we can take a look at any further login gremlins.

I'm afraid that My Autosport isn't too long for this world, though. We'll keep it and the classic site going for a while longer as we're building some of the functionality that's always existed (particularly the search/archive function from the old site and the personalisation options from My Autosport) but there will eventually be a point where we can't justify the effort of keeping the old parts of the site updated.

Thanks for the update Grayson (if only I'd know you were there, I could have got you on our wifi...). It's a shame that you're changing the site, but at least you let us know ahead of time: I've had my.autosport.com as my home page since I worked there years ago, but at least I can change my own site to cover the links I use currently. It's a shame, because it does at least make me look at your site regularly at the moment, but if you need to change then so be it, at least we've all got time to change our homepages away from autosport.

Bummer. I guess this is goodbye - there is very little chance I'll be visitin autosport.com or the forums directly. my.autosport.com was a convenience and a habit for 15 years -- but I guess it's time to say goodbye and move on.

Thanks for keeping it as long as you have, and good luck with the new autosport.com.

Roger and out. :smoking:

my.autosport.com was (and is for the time being) the perfect way to get an overview of the forum activities, f1 news and other motorsport news at a glance. Been using it since it was launched. Dont really enjoy the "new" autosport front page, and it is just much more hassle to get an overview of the forums i follow closely  :well:

Wow, this thread. Much nostalgia. Right in the feels.
