So they may replace that "not so good(*)" driver by a "not so good but with pocket full of $$$$" driver....
(*) According to F1 standards...Marques is certainly a far better driver than all of us.

Plus there is a reason to back up when he's in f1. He brings in PSN money!!

Alonso is either fantastic, or Marques is the new worst-on-the-grid. All you have to do is look at qualifying differentials.

Marques did not buy his ride.
And Minardi is quite happy with his drivers. Mazza will only get the job if he bring cash, but otherwise Tarso will keep it.

Remember that not more than about two years ago DaMatta for example was a not too impressive backmarker in the Cart series as well as Marques was last year. And Franchitti was 2.5 seconds slower than Burti in the same car last year. Jaguar wanted to give him a chance for a race seat in 2001, but he was just way too slow... Marques on the other side had already shown in 1997 that he can be at least sometimes faster than his teammate Katayama.

I think, you should rather put Jos Verstappen on it than de la Rosa, who was faster than the Boss last year at Arrows. But, after all, Verstappen is also a very good driver. So, de la Rosa is miles away from being put on such a list of worst drivers in F1. I think, he's even one of the best!

Maybe, but two chose Pedro? (I'm not one of them)

Afterall, nobody would choose Jos after his Sepang performance.

It's definitely Marques, I'd say. There's no question about that!

Actually three. I would say that those three votes comes from three brazilian guys

I am planning to edit a nice tricky poll: who is the best driver around? I will only offer two chances: PDLR or MSCH. Or maybe I will do it between PDLR and JV, to be safer ;)

Give him time and he might get better with experience.

I didn't know, Marques does not fit in the cockpit... Reminds me a bit of Mansell in 1995. Interesting info! Where did you read/hear that?

You're Spaniard, aren't you?
I'm not the one who offended you, those four people who chose Pedro did.

Since 1993 Marques has spent 1 year in F3, 4 years in F3000 and F1 (including 12 races for Minardi in '96 & '97) and 2 years in a premier series (CART). If he hasn't done well yet, he's not going to.Originally posted by markzed
Although I want him to do well, my heart tells me that Marques is probably the worst.
