No criticism intended but the header reads the 1966 International Trophy, Silverstone although it was of course 1967.

The shame. What a fool!   :(

Thank you Paul.

(I wonder if I can change the thread title, or is it now cast in stone?)

Dear friends of TNF,  I look for a picture/film of Mike Parkes one year later.

As last years winner he had the honour to drop the flag for the International Trophy Silverstone 1968.

After his Spa crash 1967 he still needed sticks to walk. There is a picture of him on the grid talking to Graham Hill

and to his Ferrari teammates. But does anyone have a picture of him starting the race? Andreas

Andreas, sorry, I can't find a picture of Mike starting the race; perhaps someone else can. I have just started a new 1968 International Trophy thread posting two short films from the time, Pathé and Movietone. Neither show the flag at the start but could that be Mike waving the chequered flag at the end of the Pathé clip?
