Sounds like you're putting in plenty of race watching miles this year.
Time to trade in that VW for a personal jet...

Yep, after skipping Indy and the Can-Am reunion, we decided quickly to bail outta Washington state to do the Runoffs, and then Petit when our friend Bill Alsup passed. It's never right to presume we know what's left.
You're not here, are you?
Do you live in Washington state? If so, which town? Or were you "born under a wandering star"?

Vince, this week, we're "from" Mid-Ohio, next week we'll be from Road Atlanta! Lived in Wisconsin 19 years then Denver for 33... on the road 38 months as of today. :-) We decided to head east after a backpack near Cle Elum, WA.
Thanks, Guys. Too loud here to think of how to use Multiquote! ;-)

We met Afterburner at Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta yesterday, our mutual first meet of another Forum member. He's (totally) awesome, Duuude -- (I've spent waaaay too much time in California!) -- and we hit it off from the first handshake. He's working here this weekend, so we maybe got 20 or 30 minutes, but are trying for more time today.
We're here with a friend we met here 37 years ago, our 11th race together, and his two twin sons of that age.
It's still a great track, but all the "improvements" over the 22 years since being here are truly disappointing. The old circuit from my prior total of over 90 days spent here since 1972 is greatly missed.
But this series is great. Thursday night was my first tangible experience of being at a road course at night, save for a test session at Daytona in 1994. It is positively AWESOME!!!
Happiness is any race reunion, and it's already been a very memorable event. Rock On.

I have some rare photographs here, but much more so wish it hadn't happened. :-(
Thank You to Eric Broadley and everyone involved.
