My dad was a Ford man and we loved to go up to Duluth to watch the boats come and go.

The Ford boats were my dad's favorite.

 

I tried to find a online picture of the William Clay Ford side view showing the Ford on the funnel but this was the best I could find.

Thanks for your interest. This was the last and the biggest of the Ford Motor Co. bulk carrers, with steam turbines instead of the Sun-Doxford diesels used on the first two boats. 

 

 

Ford had untold numbers of vessels, including speedboats and racing boats. This piece barely scratched the surface.
