Apologies if this has been asked and/ or answered elsewhere - I have done a quick search but if it has I cannot see it. So...
In Abu Dabai yesterday one driver had won more races during the season than the other guy but in other races had been let down by mechanical failure while leading... going into the final race of the season to win the championship he had to win this race with the other guy finishing worse than third... started from pole, set fastest lap and won the race... but the other guy was second... and is world champion by a whisker...
Sound familiar?
Has anyone worked out what would have been the result if today's points system has been in place in 1958?
