Could sit and watch these all day, will definitely be something missing next season along with Massa

Only wish the car would have been at a competitive stage so we could have seen more of this.

I've always argued that Suzuka 2011 and Spa 2012 were among his best races, yet they are often forgotten on these lists.

And Jenson seems to agree with me.

Are you tryig to make me feel old, because it's working!! As an aside, when I worked in F1, he was one of the more appoachable drivers, always recognised you, always say hello, never refused an interview, always told it like it was, and was usually first at the bar!!

One of the greatest drivers on the track! Did you see him taking over Ted's notebook on Sunday?

Would he actually come back to racing in F1 in future? Would love if he would but think chances are slim.

Geez people, after a thread here just had dozens of posts about LAST WEEKEND'S race, sans anyone whining about it, this seems nostalgic indeed!

I really wish the complainers would start their own threads so we could all bash away. Then again, that's pure crap, so I wouldn't partake.

I'd accept this.  After all, when this place started in 1999, people were talking about, say Gilles Villeneuve in 1982.  Button made his debut in 2000, which is 16 years ago as far as I can work out.

Nostalgia shouldn't be the preserve of 60-70 year olds remembering eg. 1968.  The young will get "nostalgic" about 2000 eventually.  Who are we to tell a 32 year old that the racing in 2000 (when they were 16) isn't old enough to be "nostalgic"?

Of course, this forum was never intended to be about nostalgia in the first place despite the name that was foisted on it, but that concept died seriously dead fairly early on....

I thought the Canadian GP [2011?] where he won after Vettel half spun on the last lap was one of his best.

Canada 2011   Never give up attitude. So he had incidents go his way, but those final laps were so entertaining.
