Do you want the complete lists or just certain entries? I have fairly comprehensive lists, including car registration numbers in many cases. My complete lists are sort of promised for someone considering a future book. Pretty sure nothing original survives. Original entry forms were hand written of course and that leads to some "interesting" interpretations. At that time, what lists are around may show car as "Ford", "Austin" etc. Where class is listed it's possible to work out what the model was but not always.
Scutineering? Very patchy on most RACs with brief safety check, no pre-event eligibility check (making us wonder why we bothered to comply at great cost) and, in later years, once it was allowed, a minutely detailed survey of your advertising to ensure you were not doing the RACMSA out of a few £s (and the last repeated during the event at the most inappropriate times such as just after staggering out of Kielder, in a most peremptory and offensive manner). Oh how we loved them.

I'm actually looking to identify certain cars for my TVR Grantura Research. I'm trying to find out more detail, photos, information on which stages were completed. I wondered if there was an archive of the RAC / organisers papers to help. The original entry forms if they exist would be interesting.
RAC- Info I have so far.
Peter Bolton / Gordon Shanley 1961 Retired. I understand it was No.16. AJB 66 in. Group 5 - Arnold Burton's Mk2 Grantura. If possible it would be interesting to find out where and why it retired. I understand it had electrical problems at the start in Blackpool, and wrong slotted before the first time control.
1962 - George Humble / J Grimshaw 77 - probably Mk3, YFR 75...? TVR works colours white with green stripes, I'm looking for full registration number. Where did this car retire.
Stan Pateman / J Spencer - probably Stan's Tulip Rally Mk2 XFV 865, where / why did it retire. ( I've been previously directed to the Tulip Rally website which is helpful).
(I'm also looking for more info on other rallies at the time, such as the Jacobean Rally 1962 where Lewis & Creed and Bolton & Philips entered. Christenson & Potts also entered the Three Counties, All Night (Congleton) Express &'Star ( Wolverhampton & Staffs). I assume in these instances contacting the organising clubs it the best way forward).
As an aside do you know if there an Monte Carlo archive I'm looking for more info on 1963/4 George Humble again but in a different Mk3.
Thank you for any help.

Was there not a TVR in the YSCC Yorkshire Rally in 62 or 63?. Distant memory I fear.

Unfortunately George Humble is no longer with us, he owned a number of cars including GT40 so quite likely he had a Chevron.
I'll look for the Monte Carlo info.
I'll do a big more digging on the Yorkshire Rally this could possibly be Tommy Wood (in his Ex Le Mans TVR Grantura) who was based in Yorkshire.

Sad to say, you've actually added to my data (reg nos) rather than vice versa as I had hoped. The 1961 RAC entry is Class 5 rather than Group 5. The 1962 entries are Class 5 (#72) and Class 6 (#77) - presumably that aligns with the models of TVR involved, in two capacity classes within the Group 3 category.
For the Express and Star, Wolverhampton and South Staffs Car Club have an excellent history site. www.wsscc.org.uk should find the page on the history of their main rally, which was then the Express and Star, and clicking on "select a year" shows period rally reports and in some cases entry lists.

That link doesn't seem to reveal their history page. I'll try again.
1962 has a TVR in the results.

Thank you for the info and links.
Class 5 is a Grantura Mk2 and Class 6 is a Grantura Mk3.

The RAC archives are held at Churchill College, Cambridge. There is on online catalogue but from my last look at it there isn't any motorsport detail. The MSA has the Competitions Committee minute books from the year dot but that is about all. Sad, isn't it.
Following might be of use to somebody sometime:
You can browse the catalogue online by going to www.royalautomobileclub.co.uk. Click on ‘about the club’ at the top of the page, then ‘Club archive’ on the left hand side. Click on ‘click here for the searchable club archive’ You then need to click on ‘The catalogue’ and will see collections listed on the right.

I enquired a long time ago about the RAC archives and was told that much valuable material was thrown away when they morphed into the MSA.
I hope you find what you are looking for.
