Does anyone remember a photographer called Tim Whittington?  He took photos in the UK in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

I have a photo of my late father (I think at Brands Hatch) that he took and I really want to know more details of it as it's a car I've never seen my Dad race and didn't know he did and that is surprising for me!! :drunk:

On the back of the photo it has his name and his address was 9 Villa Road, St. Leonards, Sussex.

I've tried Google and the BT.com phonebook and cannot find anything.

Any help muchly appreciated.

In early 1980s phone books - last one online is November 1982 - that address is listed for DG Whittington. No sign of a Tim Whittington anywhere in the Hastings area. There is however a Hastings marriage record for a David G Whittington in 1993 and a Hastings birth of a Douglas G Whittington in 1937. And a current D Whittington in the phone book ...

He is a rallycross and autograss man mainly.

Not a man I have much time for despite those sports being among my favourites.

Think he is sadly now heavily involved in WRX, selling his soul for Monster!!

Thanks guys, I've sent an email to a contact at the BTRDA and will see how this goes.
Cheers.

That Linkedin profile is definitely Tim, and a quick Google of his company gives his address in Darlington.

I bought some Autosports from Tim in Darlington, many years ago.

He used to cover the rallycross events at Croft for Autosport in the Eighties.
