I keep seeing this when I "like" a post on these forums.  As I know that I can be a tad abrasive, I assumed that it was folk who had me on ignore, but, unless I'm treading on many more toes than I realise, I don't think that that can be the case.

Any ideas?

It's a bit IT Crowd, but have you tried signing out and back in again? I vaguely seem to remember this being a glitch for some that got cured by dong this.

Happy new year :)

Alas, we then get into the refrigerator light territory - I see "You like this" after the message, but I have no idea if anyone else does...

Hmmmn, so logging out didn't fix it? The other reason it happens is if you like over a mysterious quota of posts in a given 24 hours.

Happy new year to you, too!

Haven't had that problem (either registering a "like" or in seeing who else "liked" a post), only reaching my "like" limit for a day. Sometimes, it seems to depend on the day how high my limit is, although on most days it's high.

Otherwise, don't think you're abrasive, but maybe I'm a poor judge of that because I like your style.

The thought did occur to me, however, that it would be interesting to know who is ignoring one.  ;)

Only mysterious in that it's fewer than 51 and more than 49 ... ;)

Cheers for all the ideas, but I've tried a few things, and I reckon it's probably down to me loading my copy of firefox with more addons and extensions than that is good for it - privacy control, cookie control, referrer control, tracking control...okay, I'm a control freak...

I just hope that folk aren't missing my all too rare outpourings of love for their pearls of wisdom....

After a few days in a row of mild frustration - could the Grand Programmers please consider adding a field,

located, say, under "n warning points," indicating how many "likes" we have left for the day?

In my case, this would probably prompt more restrained use of the "Like this" button (if that's a goal),

but would definitely ease the annoyance of not being sure when the putative 50 are reset.

Thanks in advance for consideration of the idea.

It's a rolling 24 hours, so essentially it works out at an average of two or three an hour - assuming of coure that you were online and 'liking' 24/7.

Your suggestion isn't an available option and given that you're the only person who's ever requested it, it would be rather a waste of the techies' time creating it. Special though you might be ...

However, I have just increased the 24-hour maximum for Paddock Club members only. To a figure which I do not intend to reveal. But if you hit it any 24-hour period you are definitely spending too much time here ...

Thanks for the reply....

which, of course, was diligently and consistently, "liked." :p

Doesn't explain how you find time to keep track of "like" counts.  :p

We have staff for that. Some of them are even numerate. But with every 'like', a bell rings. And every time the bell rings an angel gets his wings ...
