Unless I am mistaken, the Formula Three BT41 never ran with a wide nose in period i.e. during the 1973 season.

Thanks for replying .
I understood that the works BT41 (11) had a wide nose in late 73 when driven by Tony Trimmer and Johnny Gerber - problem is I can't find any pictures of them in the car, let alone with the wide nose!!

I had a look as well and couldn't up with anything from 1973 that had a wide nose. Are you sure Tony Trimmer was involved?

Thanks for your response
Yes. Tony Trimmer did the testing/ development driving - he has no pictures though. Johnny Gerber raced it at least 8 times. I am still looking to see who else drove it.

Hi, it's me again.
According to the Old Racing Cars site, Trimmer did the first John Player round at Brands and then Gerber appeared, managing three John Player rounds and a heat (but not the final) at Oulton Park. He also did a Lombard North Central round and a Forward Trust race (again missing the final but competing in the heat). Nobody else appears in the car.
Damien Magee raced BT41-30 after he had wrecked his Palliser and Larry Perkins had BT41-31 after he had finished with his early season GRD and the Ensign.
(All thanks to Old Racing Cars website)!

You could try asking Johnny Gerber. He's on Facebook and his profile picture is a BT41, albeit in narrow-nosed form.

I am wondering if the JNM Racing BT41 that occasionally appeared during the 1974 season with either Robert Joubert or Patrick Neve at the wheel sported a wide nose...?
