Sad news that the great pageant that was Cholmondeley Power and Speed is taking a rest this year. It is hoped that it will return next year possibly as a biennial event.

In the meantime our thanks and congratulations go to James and Lucy and the whole CPoP team for their sterling efforts in producing a magical event for nine years.

Hopefully it will return. I've been to the last seven and do enjoy it, but it seems to have lost it's way over the last few years.

I went up there just to see a Bentley Speed 8 a couple of years ago and was not disappointed by the whole event, however it competes in a crowded market what with HSCC at Brands, Goodwood FoS, Le Mans, the British GP and Chateau Impney to name but a few that happen with in a month or so of the Power and Speed, I hope the organisers can find a USP to keep it going because the venue is an absolute cracker.

Hopefully it will return even if it is 'just' a biennial event.

But if they do so next year, it will the same years as Monaco & Le-Mans - it's already pretty daft that they occur on the same years so adding another one might not be such a good idea.
