Thought you might enjoy some pics from the Pomeroy Trophy, which this year attracted a bumper entry of 145 cars and for the first time was held on the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.
It's the VSCC's first track event of the year and is ostensibly designed to find the best touring car irrespective of age, via an arcane formula and a series of tests culminating in a 40-minute blast to complete each car's target number of laps around the circuit. Really, it's just an excuse for a bit of fun and a chance for the most unlikely cars to go head to head.
As a starter, the nose of the replica Prince Henry Vauxhall, designed by the father of Laurence Pomeroy Junior who's partly responsible for the whole thing.
One of the more elegant entrants - the Frazer Nash/BMW 328 of Alastair Pugh.
Jack Bond in the Vauxhall A/D Type, runner-up to the Prince Henry for the Edwardian Trophy.
Andrew Howe-Davies was kept busy in the 1911 SCAT Racer.
The overall Trophy is usually won by a Nash, such as Theodore Hunt's TT Replica - but not this year ...
Instead the number crunchers declared David Wylie's ex-works BMW 2002 rally car to be the best touring car.
Finally some typical Pom gaggles - perhaps the only time you'll see a Minor Traveller chasing a Chevron, or a Volvo P1800 battling with Nash Targa Florio and an Austin Maxi.
Great fun!
