Have only tried this so far in Chrome. I quite often have a window "snapped" to 50% of my display i.e. 960px wide. First noticed this a couple of weeks ago but only just got round to reporting it.

I've seen that behaviour in Firefox. For me hitting Ctrl/- and then Ctrl/+ solved it.

That looks a bit worrying.

The best case scenario is that this is the result of some CSS changes which your browser hasn't read yet. Can I ask what happens if you do a hard refresh (control-refresh on PC, shift-refresh on Mac) and clear your cache? You should only have to do that as a one off!

If you do that and it's still behaving like this, I'll ask our developers to look into a fix...

Tried that :) but no luck.

It doesn't seem to happen every time...but of course now that I've said that, it is. The one way I can reliably get it to not happen is to do the hard refresh, but every refresh after that one exhibits the problem.

As Vitesse found, getting the browser to rejig the page (with a font-size change or just changing window size) puts everything back in the right place.

Thanks for that - very useful!

I've managed to replicate this now (thanks to the explanation you gave), so I'll see what we can do to get this fixed...

More fun with this :)

Safari "10.1" i.e. up to date.

Load page. See extended blue/grey box and spacing lower down.

From there go to F1 news page, then return via clicking logo. Reverse effect in both cases.

Similar issues at different window sizes. Refreshing the page seems to make it shuffle up or down a bit...  :drunk:

Very annoying at the moment...bit disappointing that six months on this is still broken...
