Only a matter of time before this clown gets into a fight with another driver or member of the F1 paddock because of something that happens on the racetrack with his son.

A "night club brawl" on a sunny pub terrace at 6pm. He must be getting old.

No mention of Adrian Sutil's whereabouts. Curious.

It´s for his new program called " Fighting around the world " loosely based on the Southpark episode starring Russel Crowe .

The guy is a scumbag.
I fear for anyone who has him as a role model. I'm looking at you, Max.
Posted 03 April 2017 - 07:32
He does seem to be a nasty piece of work. He's now living his life through his son.

The WifebeaterTM strikes again. What an idiot.

I'd pay good money to see F1 fathers punching eachother in the face.

A Sutil vs Jos charity boxing match would be a good side event at a race, if Liberty want any ideas...

Night Club Brawl: What we know so far
Jos had an argument with someone.
Jos's friend stepped in.
Jos was punched in the face.
Jos is an idiot.
This happened at a night club, at six o'clock in the afternoon.
Was ordered by the police to leave, refused, was brought to the policestation...
Poor kids

This is a slightly odd topic for a Racing Comments thread but I suppose Jos the Boss was a famous racing driver before he was a notorious ex-driver.
Let's please not make this about Max's character though.
You're welcome to delete it if you feel fit. I wasn't entirely sure if this belonged (or anywhere).
It said you needed 30 posts to access the offtopic area of the forum and I'm a way off that!

Was ordered by the police to leave, refused, was brought to the policestation...
...and was released a bit later.
According to his lawyer Jos did not leave because he feels he was a victim and was waiting for a pick up.
They are considering pressing charges against the attacker.

That's a bit of an understatement....

Interesting observation Gary.
I wonder how the hell Jos never went to NASCAR ?
He'd have been a great fit.

Don't mix up the famous Dutch directness with rudeness, the Dutch are not rude.Last year she who must be obeyed and Imyselfperslly were due to visit Amsterdam (for the first time). A few weeks before departing I happened to be at a function (here in Oz) hosted by a Dutch couple. Almost as a throwaway, I asked the hostess, Jeanette, how to say in Dutch: "Please may I have a beer?" Her immediate response: "Don't say please. We Dutch are very rude. Never say please for anything."
Just sayin' .....

I mean I dont like him either, but...
When he's a woman beater, and once fractured some guy's skull at a kart track, I think the insults are perfectly justifiable to be honest. Guy should have been locked up years ago.

I'm sure you're right. However, my Dutch hostess who has spent 75% of her life in the Netherlands, was pretty sure of her opinion.

I don't agree with any of this stuff but some of you guys heared something without knowing the origin or the full story.
That said Jos is 'trailer trash' but that doesn't make him a criminal and it's said some project Jos' behaviour on Max.
I don't have an in depth knowledge of the situation, but in the instance with his girlfriend in which she claimed he hit her with his car, didn't she report him to the police and later withdraw it?
Thats not to say every time someone reports something to the police its factual and accurate, but also just because you aren't convicted doesn't mean it didn't actually happen.
Also, many people stay with their abusive partners for a variety of reasons.

I only met nice people in Amsterdam. But get in the way of the cyclists and kapowww!!
You walk in front of bicycles and call us rude?
Anyway, Jos Verstappen. What a guy. On a more worrying note, he is again free to walk the streets of Limburg.

lol@ "he even married the women who he 'beated' and has a child with her". Not trying to debase you but...screw it I am! That is perhaps the most stupid comment I have read in a long time. Do you know how many millions of wives are in an abusive relationship? Let me guess you think because a ,am married and had a child with a woman he wont or cant beat them? Also did he he not beat up his dad last year? Jos is a low life thug simple as that.

As the Dutch word for 'please' is "alsjeblieft" which is virtually unpronounceable, it is not surprising that they don't say it.
But I have never met a Dutch person who wasn't charming.
Although I have never met Jos...

The Dutch are fascinating folk.
When you get out to places like Texel and Friesland, their fashions are rather, erm interesting!!
They are more often than not very friendly, chatty and welcoming. Have walked around race car paddocks in Holland and talked to more people in English than you would over here!
But when they get drunk they can be a bit rowdy, more so than Brits. We have bus laods of them come over for race meetings in the UK and they often cause damage etc due to drunkenness.
And we tend to be typically well behaved when we go over there sadly, but this is a tiny minority of people who love their beer, love socialising and just get a bit over eager! Nothing physical or abusive, just silly drunk men.
As for manners, the Dutch are veryt well mannered, I fgound a few things the Germans did a little odd when I spent a few days there a while ago, but I asked someone and found it was me just being ignorant, they don't hold doors open for you and they wont come and see if you need help in a shop, they will wait for you to make the move. All fince once you know.
And both countries are far cleaner, better organised and just nice places to live than a lot of the UK!
Jos seems an angry person, no idea why, he just looks like that sort of man.

That doesn't, but in 2009 he was given a suspended prison sentence for harassing his wife with threatening text-messages and visiting her house in violation of a restraining order.

I lived in the Netherlands for three years and now the UK for six years (I'm Australian) and don't really agree with many those observations. Cleary a case of your mileage may vary and all that.
As for Jos's latest drama, it is unfortunate for Max that this sort of bad PR keeps popping up. Max seems like a good guy, I hope people refrain from assuming any sort of character overlap. We should not be judged on our parents!
