Unbelievable!

And if you had posted a screenshot of the timing screen, the difference between the current app and the previous version would have seem even bigger.

It has become pretty much completely useless, both on my Iphone and my Ipad.

What the hell are/were they thinking?! They killed off all the usable space here, it's slow, WHY???!!!!

If you watch landscape, which you want if you want to follow sector times, you can only see FOUR(!!!) drives at the time

WHY???!!!!!

Not to mention the PISS POOR READABILLITY of the shaded (button style?) timing numbers.

What the hell, this feels like another TATA disaster took place.......

The worst is that you can now adjust the time delay ONLY with the slider, you can no longer do the 'tappy-tap-tap' +/- seconds, good luck fat fingering that slider bar to the actual delay....

Horrible UX/UI design, for sure.  Astronomical amount of wasted space...

You guys should stop paying, if no one paid they'd have no choice but to make it free as it should and was in the past. They want more fans, instead the greedy ...

It should be FREE in the first place.  What an outrage to requite fans to pay for something like live timing in the first place, and then THIS? Ock Fuff, F1.

They even have some other commentators.

I have version on one mobile phone that is not updated and they have old crew. (McNish  and other guy).

The strange thing it's not only visuals, they have new commentators while on old, not updated app they have old crew.

When I forget not to update my app, or when they force me to, that’s the end of my subscription. Timing is pointless if it’s out of sync.

Another miracle, brought to you I am sure by the fabulous overlords at TATA CONSULTING IT

I   h a v e   n o   i d e a   h o w   y o u   c a n   f r a c k   u p   s u c h   a   g r e a t   a p p . . . . . . . . . . :\

I really, really, really tried to use the app, but I can't:

It's slow!

Not just a bit slow, but SLOW slow. I ran the app on my old Nexus 5 hoping it would still have the old version (nope), it took forever to start and initialize, it's basically impossible to run on older phones. The old app ran fine on the old Nexus 5.

Screen layout

As already observed, what the heck were they thinking? I used to be able to see the top 10 in landscape (the best option for live timing with sector times), now it's 4. FOUR! Are they kidding me? A timing app where bloody 50% of the screen space (if not more) is wasted on non timing info (logo, horrendous menu, popup nonsense bar).

Font and colors
They really did their most evil with the barely readable combination of dim colors on shaded 'buttons' which change color in the most distracting ways. One has to say, it is some feat to make larger fonts, reduce the amount of info on screen, and STILL make it less readable. My eyes are bleeding

Time slider
With the old app you could 'tappy-tap-tap' adjust the time delay with second precision. Great if you want the timing to match exactly with the TV feed. With the new app, there is ONLY the slider app. Good luck fatfingering the timing within anything accurate of the desired delay.

Where's the info?
It looks like we lost tons of data. The old screens depending on which you looked at, had tire info, laps, on track/pits, etc indicators. It was maybe not perfect, but it was bloody good. This app is ........ simply horrific, a massive fail on so many levels, again, I can't believe how the frack you can mess it up this bad.

:| ):

I don't think we can blame this one on Tata.  FOM brought in a design company and another to code backend.  Tata at this point seems only to be hosting the crappy app.  Who should get the blame is FOM.  Let 'em know how you feel.  It's disappointing, I was hoping it would be better after the break.  Vote with your wallet.  That's what I did.  It's not like it's the dawn of the internet.  Doing this kind of thing is old hat now.  I don't think they could miss the mark any more than they have.

Such an annoying race for this to happen with the absolutely horrible coverage of qualifying today. I'm definitely unsubscribing until it's fixed

Win 10 + browser works reasonably fine for me if that's an option. It may not have all the options the app used to have, but in combination with the new app, you should still have most of the info.

It just said “loading” for me during quali

I don’t understand why whilst being so focused on engagement, they don’t give free timing like most motorsports

Yes, absolutely inexcusable.  Part of Bernie's legacy of wanting to squeeze every last dollar out - and remember, it used to be free and was taken AWAY after the fact!  Should have been righted as one of the first measures when Liberty took over.

This sounds as a comment on the "new Autosport" web page compared to the Classic.  Long live the Classic!!!

So, just to summarize:

In the old app, even on a smartphone, in landscape, you could monitor at least 10 drivers, watching live gaps, live sector times and speeds, live liptimes, the best laptimes(if this was a practice or Q session), current tyre information including laps done on the set, and  total laps for each driver. With a quick swipe you could see the entire tyre history of the session, or move to the best sectors and speeds.

The volume of information lost is really huge, without any gains in readability!

So i am not the only one then!! I usually embrace change and get used to new websites pretty quickly but Classic Autosport will always rule!

And the new app is atrocious!

Unlikely to get a refund when you paid for a year in advance..
Luckily the apk posted above Works.

Didn't work for me and no trust to try again. New tablet, no need for virus or Trojan horse. Don't know if it's that, but didn't install here.

That's not a cracked application, only a copy of the original apk from play store, but you knows... Its instantly want to update to the newest version on play store when you install it. Read about this apk sites (apkmirror, apkpure, etc...) before judge them.

This is so horrible.... I will cancel my subscription if they don't change it.

Lets start with the positives:

- Replaying radio messages

The negatives:

- Can't see who is in the pits and on track

- Can only see 4 drivers when looking at sector times and laptimes instead of 12

- Have to skip to another tab to see the tyre compound

- Can't see the current laptime in sector view, only fastest (practise and quali)
- Lap position view is horrible in comparison with the old one

- Have to login numberous times (again) to get access

- Is not stable on 3g or 4g (instead to the old app)

- Can we see yellow flags immediately on all screens? (haven't seen it yet)

- Can't see all tyres used during practise and quali

Biggest thing for me is, that I can only see 4 drivers in sector view. That's horrible.....

Besides losing lots of info, one major piece of functionality missing is to be able to select a driver and all timing of other drivers becomes relative to that selected driver.

Wow, I had to pop to Tesco around lap 40. The app is now unusable, everything was laboured slow and confusing. It was clunky at times before but you could atleast follow what was happening, I gave up and had to rely on sms update from my brother, bless him.
