Stomach virus apparently according the Simon on Sky F1
Panic over, looks like it was a dodgy curry. Still, get well soon.

The IPad - greatest invention ever to reduce the boredom of long hours stuck on the toilet with the runs!

Easy to sanitize afterwards.

I'm so relieved it's nothing serious, tbh I really couldn't relax and enjoy the race, I was very worried about him.
Get well soon mate and get back commentating next race save us from the Croftresta torture.

Best place to get a stomach bug- escaping two hours stood next to David Croft.
I'm surprised he's only now become ill with a stomach bug after all these years sitting next to the crap Croft was spouting. Man has a steel stomach to last that long
All the best to him.

Hope it is just what they have said so far, and nothing more serious, connected with last years scare.
Can't believe that it happened just as they were doing the 20th anniversary of his grid-walks. What's the chance of that.

I half joked that he must have caught the same stomach virus i've had the past two days. I can confirm it ain't pretty to say the least and the last place you want to be is confined to one room for a couple of hours when nature calls.
Such a shame it struck on the weekend he was due to receive the congratulations for 20 years of pit walks from Sky. Give it a few hungry days without much to eat and I'm sure he'll be right as rain. Get well soon Martin!

Who took over from him?
Di Resta who did a good job - he is used to Crofty's nonsense from FP sessions.

I'm sorry - I hope you feel better, but I read your post and then couldn't help but think how apt your username seemed...

Steel stomach or lead ears.

Probably the result of a warm £8 pint of beer at the track. I had the two-bob-bits for days after necking one of those at the race a few years ago.
A sure fire way to empty your pockets and your digestive tract!

How is it that Britain STILL has the worst food hygiene in the world. ????
It's the British holidaymakers' insurance scam when travelling abroad.
Food hygiene on home soil is generally ok - it's the general standard of cuisine that's questionable.

Afterwards, in the garages ...
Kimi to Martin " We missed you at the presentation....? Will you get over it ?"
Martin to Kimi " Yeah.......I will ...I was having a shi* !

Is that how much it is?!
I'm a Londoner and I'm shocked.

In other words, Martin experienced his very own Brexit today.
I'll get my coat.

8 quid for a pint? I can get four pints of Ruddles for that in my local 'Spoons. And come away with fourpence change.

Dangerous pastime.
Most people drinking in Midsomer villages' pubs seem to end up murdered and being investigated by Chief Inspector Barnaby.

It just highlighted how painful it was to listen to David Croft. It drove me nuts that he kept referring to Luffield as Woodcote. He was doing it all weekend.

It's the best food hygiene in the world, once in a lifetime opportunity to take back control of our cooking surfaces, other countries will be queuing up to wash their hands in our kitchens etc etc.

Definitely a virus from the shoey toe jam.
As Doctor Ricciardo warned on the Thursday before the race:
Austria, Martin was like frothing for it. So I feel that there are some really sick bastards around here. It’s risky with back-to-backs. It is! We put - all the podium guys could end up in hospital for a week.
Commentators are not immune.

Nah, we have the best it's just when we get one bad case our stomachs can't handle it....
Why are celebs etc so soft. Not Martin per se because I'm sure it wasn't pleasant and its not like he could help it but to make out it's serious. FFS we've all had the a case of double ending. We all survived!!! At least he probably got attention from a.highly skilled doc and a posh Mercedes, Egyptian cotton toilet paper to wipe his ass.
