Could't find a thread for this years Classic so here goes. 

 

Could only make 2 days this year so was a bit hectic trying to get round and see everything, tho done it just. Normal British Summer time weather was out in force, windy, wet, cold and sunshine every day. There was a great selection of cars in most of the series, tho the GroupC was a disappointment with only 13 cars turning out. Hopefully if they are back next year this will improve.

Thanks - I was there for all 3 days and enjoyed it very much . It does need a bit of a refresh in format though - the Gp Cs are past their sell by date as for last few years has been underwhelming . I don't need slebs in A35s either but the access all areas to cars and people is wonderful . Fantastic drive on Sat pm from the Elan 26 R in the wet was highlight for me - that and superb FF1600 races .And a chat with Howden Ganley for my book - a very nice man ,as others have said .

The sportscar race second to last on a Saturday is always superb. (Classic GT Trophy?) Oliver Bryant had a magnificent drive in his Cobra this year. Lovely to see a Bizzarrini running so well too.

 

The Kidston Trophy was a welcome addition this year. I agree about the Group Cs though; they look spectacular against the night, but the grids are always tiny and the racing quite processional. I'd like to see a dedicated '70s sportscar race.

I went on the Saturday but had to leave before the Group Cs.  Haven't had time to sort pics.

 

Although I feel sort of duty bound to share this one...
