If you are using Google Chrome, install this extension and all Photobucket images on any forum will reappear:

If this doesn't take you there directly then you need to use 'Help' find out how to add the extension "photobucket embed fix".

Nice Job, Wirra!

Here's to hoping this brings some threads back to their fully-illustrated glory. :-)

This - and another - extension are also available for Firefox: http://forums.autosp...7/#entry8066844

In theory the Chrome version should also work in Opera and Vivaldi.

If you're using Chrome, Opera or Vivaldi then follow Wirra's link, which will take you to the Chrome Store. Click on the blue 'add to Chrome' button top right. If you're using Firefox, Waterfox, Palemoon or some other Firefox-based browser see the links I posted in the current posting photos thread and click on 'Add to Firefox', confirm the security message and install. That's it. To check it's working go to (for example) this post in the bike sub-forum - if you can see a picture then it's working!

So this circumvents the Photobucket restrictions?

How long will they allow that to go on?

You could try searching the Safari extensions for a version, but failing that you would have to install and use either Firefox or Chrome from the App Store and then follow the instructions above. The two Firefox ones are both tagged as working with iOS. No idea on the Chrome version, but I assume it would work.

Yes, it's good isn't it? Don't suppose it will last though, they'll probably patch that hole before too long.

Thanks mate, even a temporaey fix is better than no fix. Now to find a eplacement for botophuckert.

After a helpful PM from Vitesse, I've settled for Postimage. The first part, selecting photos and adding them is simplicity itself, I found it much easier than Photobucket, but at first I struggled to get them to appear here, I managed to add a link to the photo which worked if you clicked on it, but couldn't get the actual pics to appear. Then after a helpful direction, I found an explanatory post, again from the ever helpful Vitesse, on the "How to post your photos on the forum" thread. After more struggles, I achieved success eventually, not the clarity of V's post, it's my lack of skill with sussing this kind of instruction, as I don't think Vitesse could have made the post any simpler. Try it for yourself and see how you get on, but one bit of advice. It's still possible to access everything in your library on Photobucket, not sure if it's still possible to post images from there, but I can't see this helpful hack working for very long, and non-subscribers might eventually be denied access altogether, so if they aren't in "Pictures" on your own home computer already, I'd advise everyone to copy them there ASAP.

Just reassuring myself that my new-found but hard won "skill" hasn't deserted me overnight, this is Dani, he's five, I think we should have photos of Cairn terriers on every TNF thread.
