Bonne nouvelle pour @Charles_Leclerc qui pilotera la @SauberF1Team en FP1 en Malaisie ! Devraient suivre USA, Mexique, Brésil et Abu Dhabi !

He's most likely going to win F2 and taking his first steps into F1

Lots of people think he's the most talented and exciting driver out there and future WDC. (never heard that before)

Interesting. Suggests something happening at Sauber really doesn't it?

I reckon he'll be in that car full time next year.

Leclerc, Ocon, Verstappen - there's a good new generation in the offing here.

Can we already lock him for second seat next year? :)

Will be interesting to see if he's improved since last year. He's bossing F2 of course, but when he did FP1 for Haas last year he wasn't that impressive. Maybe it was a bit too soon back than.

Let's not hang that particular badge on the poor lad. We have heard that far too often in the past only for the hyped superstar to fail to even reach F1 (Frijns) or to prove rather less sensational when he did arrive (any number - Vandoorne, Hulkenberg etc)

But good news for Leclerc.  It is time that the French stepped up to the plate again.  Grosjean has rather disappointed and it is a long time since Prost!

I'm on this band wagon, he is going to be great! LeClerc vs Verstappen vs Ocon is the future.

He's Monegasque, so it has been a long time since Olivier Beretta... :p

Will he get Ericsson's spot or Wehrlein's spot?  I don't know what Sauber's resources have been like this year, but unsurprisingly it seems like Ericsson is getting a better car
