The movie "Ferrari 312B: Where the revolution begins" is apparently being shown at various theaters across Canada Wednesday, October 11.  Here is a link to the trailer:

Has this been shown elsewhere, or will it be ?

The voiceover is cringeworthy and somewhat economical with the actualite: "It would dominate a decade". Only if users of the Cosworth V8 have been retrospectively disqualified.

Despite that I must see it when it becomes available on DVD.

I hope there's a DVD coming.

I am sure it will be highly entertaining, but if the trailer is anything to go by I suspect the pedants are going to have a field day since Ferrari had used the flat 12 engine layout out starting in 1964 and the initial 312B cars did not even feature proper monocoques, and IIRC the only one that did was the original 1973 B3 which did not exactly cover itself in glory, it is hard to see how the designs were either 'revolutionary' or 'ground braking', throw in the fact that the Flat 12 was made obsolete by ground effect aerodynamics and the only other Formula One flat 12's built subsequently were by Alfa Romeo, Techno and Motori Moderni / Subaru I will be interested where the producers found any wiggle room in the definitions to fit those terms in.

I went and saw it last night.  Generally good I would say.  The translation from Italian was obviously done by an Italian and can be 'entertaining' as a result.  The film is the story of restoring one of the original cars to race at the Monaco Historic GP in 2016.  Forgheiri (sp?) is ever present which is a very good thing.  Niki Lauda is interviewed at length as are Jacky Stewart and Gerhard Berger and others.

The mechanical aspect I found fascinating, the booming music at the end less so-isn't a Ferrari engine at ten grand enough music?!

May be the same car Paulo Barilla is seen pedalling here then ;-)
