A long time since I've posted on here and I know activity has fallen a lot, but since he was mentioned a number of times, I thought I'd post to let others know that Ted (Dad) passed away last week at 91. A full and long life and independent til the last. In racing terms, he worked with and sponsored a string of great riders from the '60s to the 80', including Reg Everett, Chas Mortimer, Barry Ditchburn and of course Dave Potter, though he was an engineer first and a sponsor very much second.  I had the luck to have trailed around with him from the age of 7 or 8 across the UK short circuits and latterly the continent, until Dave was killed in '81 - some great memories and even greater stories from him from the days I wasn't there. So to anyone looking in who knew him: raise a glass (though it will have to be ale). and share any memories. Thanks. Chris

Sorry for your loss Chris.

The oft used term "a backbone of the sport" could not be more appropriately applied, or deserved.

R.I.P. Ted.
