I cannot polish the Yas Marina circuit, but I can fix it.

I think it's a marginal improvement, not much more action but better quality once it actually happens. The new T9 creates some potential for longer battles, the section it replaces provided some overtaking but it was very awkward and half the time ended up in one driver going off the track so I won't miss it.

Definitely better.  Abu Dhabi is now just a mediocre race track instead of a waste of a race weekend.  With a Race Director who knows the rules and has some integrity, it could even host a half-decent race.

I think it's an improvement. It's just nice to see the cars moving dynamically, it makes the remaining tight off camber chicane/double hairpin thing all the more jarring to watch. They look SO clumsy.

It seems like the removal of the first chicane was definitely a big improvement. Personally, instead of turning the old turns 11-14 complex in to a spoon, I'd have bitten the bullet and gone full hairpin, modelled after Montreal

I think that was the point, at the time the circuit was built the theory was that such places would act as "mistake generators". Which proved to be an utter failure of course.

They certainly act as mistake generators for fools like me who pick up and Xbox controller and think they’re Lewis Hamilton on their sofa. For professional racing drivers, not so much.

I hope we’ll see the update in games soon. It looks a lot more fun and I think it’s been an unqualified success. Both new corners saw overtaking, so you can’t even say they lost that.

The new Turn 9 is absolutely fantastic! Just look at this race from today that even had SC restarts into the corner as they used the support S/F line:

But they have to start penalising drivers who run people off the track on the exit.
