Early reveal here, only 6 days after the season wrapped up.

Hopefully the tie-up and hopefully climb up the grid will add some sponsors to the car before the full launch. It’s a very ‘sauber’ Livery isn’t it... shame they didn’t go for the full car in that colour rather than the splash on top....

It's a livery "concept" according to Sauber so I expect it will still change a bit before Melbourne. It probably was a rush job to have something on display for their press event. A bit like when Renault came back and launched with a black car, that wasn't the livery they raced with either.

The team refers to it as just a concept livery. When the season starts we might see something different.

Anyway, it might be an unpopular opinion but I like it. Always had a soft spot for simple "white + a bit of colour" kind of liveries.

I guess it throws them into the news; there hasn’t been much else of note with it being the end of the season. Gets Alfa a bit of early press after the tie-in reveal

I hope Ferrari turn up in a striking yellow\black\red design for testing. But then normal red with the 'THIS IS NOT MARLBORO' livery.

Candy red is beautiful. One of my favorites.

I hope we don't get all the teams hiding the car numbers low down on the bodywork like that now that the shark fins are gone.  :well:

Love the competizione red too, spectacular!  Not sure about the white.  It's a bit plain.

Design by committee?

Sarcasm?

It does look very smart without a silly step, thumb nose or vanity panel (or halo).

I doubt Marchionne wants an all red Sauber, and white allows any CEO to imagine his corporate colour(s) on the car, and let's face it, that is exactly what this launch is about.

A Marlboro livery in Australia would certainly be distinctive.

Then lobby a British team, it's their colour.

Or get someone like 7up to throw in title sponsorship somewhere. I think McLaren are still looking for a major sponsor.

As a partnership launch livery concept, it's fine. The shade of red is a nice choice, that's if they choose to use it on the final livery.

Now, that Il Tricolore inspired version is fantastic - excellent idea V8 Fireworks. If they went with that I certainly wouldn't complain. And I'm pretty sure they'd shift quite a bit of merchandise - especially in Monza... (Ferrari might not be too chuffed!)

Alfa Romeo-Sauber isn't the only team with a potential new livery,

Ferrari: no Santander so everybody 's hoping for black wings

Mercedes, Renault, Williams, Force India: same livery i guess

Haas: black/white or black/white/red or something completely different ?

McLaren: i don't like the current livery, i hope for more orange, or more black, can't decide :)

Red Bull: with Aston Martin sponsoring, more racing green ?

STR: the current livery is nice, but maybe Honda wants it differently

7up, 7eleven, or for that matter Xbox One would work nicely. I guess MS has some resources behind them.

Microsoft sponsors Renault. I think an expansion of their sponsorship would be the only way we’d get a green car at the moment... at the expense of our only yellow car.

Well, Havaianas are reportedly interested in sponsoring a few teams, probably using contrasting colors for the Halo and chassis but all vivid, tropical colors.

Sandals beach resorts are probably seeing this a a unique advertising opportunity as well, with the probability of anyone in any activity or industry coming up with a sandal-looking contraption, admittedly very, very low...

Great shade of red there. But then again I like the Brabham-Alfa BT-45B.

Will be nice if part of the halo was an extension of the driver's helmet livery

Lovin' this one. It's what this season's car should have looked like. Then again, the Honda era won't be looked back on fondly, so why waste a great livery on it?

I like that idea. And no doubt some drivers will have special editions for certain races.

Something like this but the central pillar and connector in black, so that we don't see it together but as 2 separate elements

Mercedes - Probably a slight variation on the familiar silver/black/green combination.

Ferrari - Hopefully red wings like 2007.

Red Bull - Same as always.

Force India - I hope the pink stays, it can become a modern classic.

Williams - White with Martini colors is a pretty good look.

Renault - More yellow and less black please.

Toro Rosso - I like the Red Bull cola livery, hopefully they can somehow incorporate the Japanese flag and Honda into it.

Haas - A change is needed, the current livery is too dull.

McLaren - Probably another ugly variation of the orange and black mess which attempts to hide their lack of sponsors.

Sauber - More red and green than the "concept livery".

The red on the Sauber I believe is meant to be the same “Rosso Competizione” as was used on the Alfa 8C road car.

But why do you all say that there should be more red, more Italian colours or whatever ? This is still an independent (apparently) Swiss team, just look at the forward face flap of the rear wing - presumably Alfa’s sponsorship roughly corresponds to what part of the car is red. The white part will surely carry some other sponsors next year.

Only Sauber could manage to make an Alfa Romeo livery boring. That's an achievement in itself.

Far too much white on that, and I've never been a fan of predominantly white racing cars. They're just too plain.
