Same here, I was expecting more troubles today but it was running nice and smooth all the way through. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Great rebound from the total mess of yesterday. Hope they've learned from their blunder.

That's great to hear! I only watched the replay, it was fantastic, and thanks to the timer on both screens, it was very easy to sync the world and data feed on my 2 screens.

This is so much better than what I had the last few years (rudimentary live timing in the browser that could not by synced to the video and thus ruined the broadcast to some extent).

Oh, and the commentary cutting out bug (that plagued every broadcast for all of last year) is finally solved!!!

I never heard anyone mention it, but have VPNs been tried for F1 TV pro? That's how I watch NBA, for example.

TV cam was perfect in Qualifying  Onboards are still unbearable though

I only use the onboards for replays. For example, if something exciting happened at the start of the race, I watch it from the perspective of some of the involved drivers. Other than that, I have no real use for them.

So I just watched Lewis pole lap (including out and inlap) with the onboard. You can choose to have the sound of the car and the team radio (unlike last year where you had only the team radio iirc).

It's fascinating! Try it!

More of an F1 feed thing, but it looks like they've cleaned up this mess nicely per my instructions.

You're welcome. :)

F1TV worked great for the race, but i do miss a better race build up show, and more interviews after the race... They dropped the stream quite quickly after the podium, while the sky audio was in the middle of interviews, and that was quite annoying. Not sure if i will subscribe after this 7day trail, even if the commentary during the race was quite a bit better than the Norwegian alternative i am used to

English commentary wasn't loud enough compared to the Dutch version
Hard to hear with the engine sound
Furthermore, had a driver selected on the Ipad, got the race stream

Was great, but I agree about the lack of post-race coverage, had to swap to a illegal stream for that  :well:

Also onboards were not working.

My stream quality was pretty bad at times. Not sure if that was a problem at my end or not, but the Ziggo stream I used instead out of frustration didn’t have this problem. Agree about being surprised coverage was cut during Sky’s post race show. All in all thumbs down for me after the weekend as a whole. Must do better.

My stream worked perfect, great to see a full GP without the silly commentary of Olav Mol.

Edit: on boards didn’t work which was a shame as I wanted to switch to Max vs Lewis when the director decided Gasly vs Kvyatt was more interesting in the last laps.

Pretty sure onboards work from about 45 mins into the f1live broadcast - you can watch on the replay now

No idea why they didn't have them turned on at the start, just had team radio with a black screen

I was trying it on FireTV via the browser as there seems to be no FireTV app. Could have been a browser codec issue, but picture quality was strange: Looked sharper (on a HD TV) than the TV broadcast by RTL (HD), but it had what seemed kind of a very-high speed stutter, making it very fatiguing to watch. Switched back to RTL except for the ads. (Also it lags RTL by 30 seconds)

Looks like the audio was in sync with picture, good to see that didn't get broken again over the winter. Rest was unsurprising, really. We all knew coming into this season that onboards wouldn't work, as they didn't work before, so that's no biggie. F1TV team hyped up 50FPS broadcast but that wasn't there either. Quality was fine, I only had drop of quality at the end of the race and throughout Saturday and Sunday it only crashed once for me (between Q1 and Q2 yesterday).

Yeah looked good.

Too bad the onboards, the reason I took the subscription, didn't work for a very large part of the race.

Mentioned this before, but it works beautifully with chromecast!
