DRS - It was designed to prevent Australia 2018... that's the real issue in 2018 - Complain about Aero not ENGINES!

So DRS was introduced to prevent exactly whats happened in Australia 2018.  Cars way way faster were stuck behind and because of current aerodynamics are unable to pass.. even with DRS!!!

Engines have now gotten close enough that it's not whats causing racing issues (other then the fact drivers turn them down and change their gearing way early to save them due to ridiculous long time expectations).

Whats the real problem In My Opinion and FANS should be up and arms about and can easily be changed for 2019 is aerodynamics.  F1 has to change the aero rules so that cars can follow closer and can pass one another without almost a 2s delta (and thats with DRS!)..

Please do not mess with engines.. they have gotten so much closer..   the real problem and its been that way for a long is the inability of F1 cars to race close together.. its time that gets address before making more stupid changes that wont make racing "CLOSER" and "Battles on the track"..

DRS as much as I hate the idea was a necessary evil that I have come to accept.. but its failing miserably now simply because the basic that lead to implementation has gotten even that much worse.

The comments Ross Brawn has made post race are encouraging. The FIA are putting a lot of work into the 2021 rule set by the sounds of it with two car models in wind tunnels to evaluate changes. Let's hope he is given the power to make the changes required.

2021.. 3 years away.  When something could start to be done and provide fans today with a much better product.  We need a change in philosphy by June for next years cars so teams can get it into their development cycle.

Lot of hype for 2021.. not unlike this turbo era and change to wider tires and even though its a wee bit better, IMO a dud to what could have been.  Sorry, but i have to see a single thing from anyone at Liberty that gives any sign of encouragement that they are capble of getting the teams together to even decent how to build a washroom together let alone a new era of F1.
