Will be interesting to see if we see a big change in following the cars in Bahrain, because if it doesn't work there it won't help anywhere else and it will be another useless rule change.

Why do people still say Pirelli messed up the tyres when they literally met the requirements asked of them? I'd call that a success.
The requirements are a pile of bull faeces, but that's not on Pirelli.

Because Pirelli destroyed racing and has no capability of producing quality/standard racing tyre.

But you missed the point, they're doing exactly what they've been asked to produce. How have they destroyed racing?

The problem is Pirelli make a durable tyre people throw up their arms "One stop race!! So boring!!!"
Pirelli make a tyre that requires multiple stops "Pirelli cheese tyres suck"
They simply can't win.

I'm not sure there was ever a request to make the tyres so sensitive to temperature.

People want tyres that can be raced. It's not the case and it has never been the case since 2011.

in that case, then Pirelli did an even better job then was asked for them if it came to assure they provided tires with a massive window of operation. A joker that can't be counted upon, depending on the weather. Even more unpredictable than Bernie's call for sprinklers on the track to create artificial wet races....

Of course you can race with them, just adjust the pace.
I can't blame Pirelli for doing a bad job. They were asked to deliberately make tires that were by default not perfect, that's what they did.

There is a happy medium between tyres that are structurally inadquate and rock hard tyres that don't degrade. And that'S more or less the tyre we have today.
The FIA knew what they wanted and it was based on a race in Canada where Bridgestone accidentally bought highly degrading tyre to a race.
Bridgestone made such a tyre by accident. Pirelli have now made such a tyre so there is obviously NOTHING wrong with the requirements from the FIA. It's just that Pirelli lacked the competance in 2011 to produce such a tyre back in 2011 till around 2015.

I'd argue it's been the case since last year.
