"Everyone keep Mauricio Gugelmin and his family in your thoughts and prayers this weekend..... unfortunately his ill son, Guiliano (I believe), just passed away this morning. Guiliano was a twin to Bernardo - just two of the cutest kids you would see around the paddock!! Unfortunately due to complications at his birth, he was stricken with several problems throughout his life - but oh what a joyous kid!!
Mauricio, we will miss you racing this weekend, but we will keep your entire family in our prayers!"

That's a very sad story :(

Wow! That is indeed very sad to hear... I read about his son somewhere last year and about how greatful the Gugelmins were that he had survived. I hope they will be able to cope with such a terrible blow.

Big Mo is one of the nicest, and most decent individuals you'll EVER want to meet. How true it is..... so many bad things happen to such good people. My thoughts, and prayers are with Mo and his family during this most difficult time.

So sad to see a young life gone so early -- complicated, this Life thing -- best wishes and God bless to the Gugelmin family.

Terrible. Mauricio always seemed a very nice man when interviewed (my only exposure to his personality) - never complained or whinged. And didn't he get hurt during the last round at Texas? I'm very to hear something so tragic has happened to someone so nice.

He suffered a few bruises at Texas but he recovered fine. Such a terrible shame. :(
