Greetings y'all and welcome to the Atlas-Autosport thread for the official halfway race of the 2018 Verizon Indycar Series, the DXC Technology 600 at the Texas Motor Speedway.
My name is Oli, also known here as OvDrone; please join me on a fresh and interesting new approach of seeing this much loved Series and how to get hyped about it.
As some of you all may know by now, my ever-increasing part-time job is being an Astrologer. More specifically I am studying and teaching the School of Evolutionary Astrology as practiced by Jeffrey Wolf Green and Dane Rudhyar. For a year now I've been doing private readings and counseling for a number of people all across the globe that want to broaden their life with a better understanding of this Western/Modern spiritual modality and lifestyle for personal development and to help make Astrology more available in a 21st century world. In order to make my and your enjoyment of this weeks Indycar race more varied, I decided to combine two of my most favorite things in life. So, please indulge me:

Saturday night we'll all have the privilege to watch another gripping and ultimately hilarious Indycar race at the Texas Motor Speedway; a 1.44 mi / 2.32 ki long asphalt oval located at 3545 Lone Star Circle in Fort Worth, Texas. The track is of a quad-oval design, meaning that the front straightaway isn't straight at all. This is made so to provide the audience a much more theatrical view of the start/finish straight. This track is similar in design to the ragtag Atlanta Motor Speedway and the way too popular Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Indycar has been racing here since 1997 ( year of the Fire Ox, in the Chinese Zodiac ) and the previous Indycar/Cart/Indycaragain race have all had these much better titles for this race:

This place used to hold two seasonal race, one in Spring, the other during the Fall. But I try not to understand the vague enigmas of the late90's-mid00's Indycar scene to keep my sanity intact.
The race will run for 248 laps, Saturday evening at 20:00pm ET. That's 01:00 am UK time 10th of June, for all of y'all Europeans.

With that out of the way, let's move on the next bit. Fort Worth and one of the biggest shifts in energy of this 2018 year.
2018 is the first year in a three-part series of three increasingly difficult, yet ultimately rewarding years. In Astrology when we talk about 'planets', yes we talk about those moving rocks in a sky that Astronomers love but we also talk about their symbolism. Each planet represents a fundamental natural and human archetype, a player, an actor, a character on the circling cosmic sky.
When I talk about the planets, I am not talking from a fatalistic and misunderstood medieval framework that these orbs in the night's sky somehow make you break a leg while jogging out Thursday evening, or getting that dream job, or why you spilled a drink on your crush or why you never get that lottery ticket. The planets have no say in that. Not in that way.
We are living in a participatory Universe. All Nature is relationship. All is a reflection of yourself. That is the beauty and ugliness of Nature. Everything is connected and interlinked, so I invite you to see the planets as an extension of yourself, of your psyche. It is As above, So below. Astrology teaches the fundamental language and marriage between Heaven and Earth, by using the sky from Earth's point of view. You can do this with trees, mountain, building, cars whatever. Most of us do this unconsciously by being in relationships. You can't see yourself so you learn to know and love yourself through another You. In lak'esh: 'I am another You'.
This is what it's all about. We all have our seasons. Some are more lethargic during the Summer, some during Winter. Some always breakup with significant others in September. Some always spend more erratically during March. There are patterns within patterns all your life. You can't be separate from Nature. You ARE Nature.
You are Indycar. Indycar is You.
Through each planet's physical characteristics known from Astronomy and other real sciences, we know more of their personalities and how they dance and move on the night's sky.
The word 'person' comes from the latin 'personae' which means: per sonae = by sound. Each persona is a mask, a frequency through which the individual resonates in the natural world. Everything in nature is a person. As are these planets. We in Modern Astrology use Jungian psychology, ancient mythology and actual physics to help interpret the complex personas of each planet. We work with Archetypes. Archetypes are patterns prelevant in each of our collective unconscious. So anyone still alive on Earth has a basic and instinctual understanding of what passion is. Of what the color red feels like. Of what a clear lake makes you feel. It's interwoven in everyone of us.
Second thing we use are the Zodiac Signs. The Solar System is more or less aligned on a single plane. Meaning the planets move around the Sun on more or less the same longitude. This portion of the sky between which the planets move is called the Elliptic. This Elliptic is then divided into the 12 Zodiac Signs we all know of. Each of these twelve constellations have their own unique persona given by man's archetypal projection of his unconscious. It's easy to see the Scales in the constellation of Libra, as is the Lion in the sign of Leo.
Why 12 signs? Well the signs are intimately linked with the 4 seasons found in the temperate climates of Earth: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. This all comes back to the Sun's motion on the Sky. The eternal turn of the Wheel. The Four Seasons.
From our Geocentric ( we are on Earth ) point of view the Sun takes 30 days to cross one sign. The whole Elliptic is a circle = 360 degrees. Divide that by 12, and you get: 30. Each sign represent the beginning, middle or end of one of these seasons.
Spring begins at the Vernal Equinox: Aries - cardinal Fire, has it's middle most intense energy in Taurus - fixed Earth and ends in Gemini - mutable Air. Spring has no Water.
Summer begins at the Summer Solstice: Cancer - cardinal Water, has it's middle most intense energy in Leo - fixed Fire and ends in Virgo - mutable Earth. Summer has no Air
Fall begins at the Autumnal Equinox: Libra - cardinal Air, has it's middle most intense energy in Scorpio - fixed Water and ends in Sagittarius - mutable Fire. Fall has no Earth
Winter begins at the Winter Solstice: Capricorn - cardinal Earth, has it's middle most intense energy in Aquarius - fixed Air and ends in Pisces - mutable Water. Winter has no Fire
So each sign has 30 days/degrees. Basically the Sun make a degree a day, but that isn't that case because we use a horrible and decrepit calendar. So it's now a perfect sequence of 360 day/year cycle. Ain't gonna go all math on you don't worry.
Each sign has one of the four major elements:
Fire - passion, will, belief
Earth - practicality, abundance, growth
Air - logic, connection, movement
Water - spirituality, emotions, transformation
And each sign can have one of three modalities: cardinal - to initiate; fixed - to maintain; mutable - to change.
For example, when someone says they are Aquarius, they mean that they had the Sun transit through the sign of Aquarius while they were born, that means that the part of their personality linked to the Sun will have the characteristics of the middle of Winter. The planet with it's own archetype is expressing itself through the lens of the Sign it's in.
The Sun correlates to the conscious ego, to basic structures of our unique individuality and through the notion that all life here is a reflection of the Whole, that person has the generic qualities of seeming cold, logical, quirky, future focused, being able to disconnect from their emotional side, being more individualistic than other but also more community oriented. They are fixed like the cold Winter Sun, able to see the wider picture of how everyone is connected but lacks the warmth of direct presence. You get me?
The Sun takes 30 days to transit a Sign. Taking a year to cross the whole Elliptic. Well, the Moon crosses the Elliptic in ... a Month. Being the closest celestial object to Earth, it takes just 2 and a half days for Her to cross a Sign. You know - Mood swings. That's the Moon yo. Because the Moon reflects the Light of the Sun back to us, so it represents our Emotional Body and how we respond to our ever changing environment.
So the Moon completes the cycle in a Month, the Sun in a Year. Mercury/Venus about 11 months, Mars 2 years, Jupiter 12 years, Saturn 28.5 years, Uranus 84 years, Neptune 165 years, Pluto 247 years.
As I said, a big shift just happened this year. The planet Uranus moved into the sign of Taurus back in May 15th. ( sigh, I am seeing the jokes starting from miles away ).
Uranus takes 84 years to orbit the Sun, so It takes 7to8 years to cross a Sign. Uranus moved into the sign of Aries back in 2011, exactly on the day of the Fukushima earthquake. And just know it crossed into the Fixed Earth sign of Taurus.
I love Uranus
Uranus is a distant ice giant located far away from us in the vast distances of the outer solar system. You can't see it with the naked eye, so it was discovered ( actually rediscovered ) in 1781 by William and Mary Herschel, making it the first planet to be discovered by technology. Uranus, unlike all the other planets, it rotates from pole to pole, completely opposite from any other planet. It has a ring like Saturn does, but again, it's alligned completely in the other direction. This suggest that sometime Uranus was the victim of a huge cosmic collision making it have this unusual opposite axial rotation. It actually rains diamonds there btw.
So in Astrology, Uranus represents the strange and totally unique parts of ourselves. The rebel, the genius, the misunderstood loner in all of us. It rules revolution, because it was discovered during a chaotic and revolutionary part of European history.
It also rules technology, being the first one discovered so last century. It rules forward thinking, scientific and innovation, hopes turned into reality, shock and trauma, crippling accidents, sudden insights, that AHA moment, divine inspiration, other dimensions, Astrology and even Aliens. Yeah Uranus is the weirdest one of 'em all. Being such a far away planet, it's energy deals with more trans-personal issues that have more weight on the whole community than just one individual or a couple, because people born in the same 7/8 year range will all have Uranus in the same side.
Taurus is the sign of Fixed Earth / Middle of Spring. Think how that feels. Nature is in full damn bloom. Every flower is going all look at me! look at me! enticing everything with colors, scents and aromas. The Earth screams with vibrancy. All the dead leaves from Autumn have now exploded into fresh potential and it's all on display. Pollen fills the air. Nature is having constant sex. That's Spring. That's Taurus. It is the Earthly Feminine temple of Venus. Of Magnetism and Attraction. Of Worth and Value. It is the house of inner and outer resources. The possessions you have. The amount of money you own. It was traditionally called the House of Hades for there is endless riches in the bountiful Earth. We can attract the reward, money, compensation for the work done on the field by knowing our inner WORTH. Money is energy. You get it, you spend it. It needs to flow, like the smell of Spring flowers. You first need to know who you are, where do you put your energy and time, what your earthly pillars are because that is exactly what you will attract. If you desire real value, then you need to know the real you. And find the beauty in it. The aroma of it. The Universe responds to your inner input. It reflects your values back to you and through Taurean energy it manifests it, making it bloody real.
What happens when the Planet of Lightning comes into the House of Taurus? Your inner values get a shock. Your magnetism gets short-circuit. Uranus is the energy that connect the negative to the positive in an instant. Like lightning. Like quantic string location. It connects the heavens to the Earth. Other dimensions to the 3D. You will need to find new unpredictable ways of knowing your inner worth, new angles to see who you are. But with everything so Earthy it takes time. So think of what you value. What is of Worth to you. How can you connect with it in another way. How can you ascend higher and really live through, with your senses. Experiment with what money really is. Think back to how the Sun takes about a day to cross one degree of the Elliptic. There's a method called the Sabian Symbols I and other Evolutionary Astrologers use to emphasize more meaning on each and every one of the 360 degrees in the Zodiac. KEYNOTE: The revelation of the spiritual meaning and purpose at the core of any life situation.
This picture simply says that “heaven is within us.” All we have to do is to be open and listen to the total harmony of life, a harmony in which we play a part that is necessary to the completeness and meaning of the whole. In order to do this we have to surrender our separative ego- consciousness and flow with the universal current which, to the religiously minded person, is the Will of God.
This is the fourth symbol of the series. The technique it implies is that of ATTUNEMENT to the rhythm of universal life. Angels are to be considered personalizations of various aspects of this life, and totally subservient to its rhythms and purposes.

The original formulation of this symbol was both “occult” and, I believe, confusing; “The light of the sixth Race transmuted to the seventh.” It could be interpreted in terms of the process of mankind’s development through the seven great Races (or evolutionary periods) outlined in the second volume of H. P. Blavatsky’s Secret Doctrine, but there are no other symbols in the series having such a frame of reference. This symbol seems to show that the “return to nature” pictured in the preceding symbol is only one of two possibilities. Astrochart of Raceday:
From the chart of this race, I can see like a fuel management race definitely. More deep intrigue and strategy interplay than anything else. But Mars in Aquarius will conjunct the South Node this weekend which will bring out some weird outcome maybe. All I see is strange confusion and unpredictability but with a okwell fuel/strategy race to the end. There's also an element of someone wanting it too much and then failing at the end. I would say which drivers look cool for this race but I DO NOT wanna be the reason to screw up the mojo of your picks. But I think I know who to pick. HAH

Hope you enjoyed this Indycar divergence, I would go more in-depth into the Astrology of past races of the Mars ( Motorsport is one of the most Martian sports ) and Moon ( shows one's fortune ) and Mercury ( is fast, drivers should be fast ) signs of each driver but that would take days and I am not paid for this.
