Best Driver: Kimi and Lewis
Worst driver: Vettel, Stroll, Sirotkin, Alonso
Best team: Surprisingly Ferrari
Best overtake: the non-drs ones
Best moment: Kimi passing Vettel
Drs + tires: overpowered drs, tires still suck

Race in a sentence; It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

Best Driver:  Ham, Sainz and Lec all stood out for having great weekends.
Worst Driver:  Grosjean - fast all weekend but threw it all away with a silly mistake in qualifying and an even sillier move into Ocon at the start.
Best Team:  Sauber - They’ve improved so much, great to watch.
Best Overtake:  Raikkonen on Ric - though more for how hard Ric defended.
Best Moment:  Seeing that trophy sitting in front of the drivers before race start. XD I think Vettel hit Bottas just so he wouldn’t have to receive one.
Tyres:  Had some variation and that contributed to action through the midfield.
And the race in a sentence: Decent, much improved from the last 3.

There was a surprising ammount of action and the first lap blunders assured us the racing was more dynamic than expected.

Raikkonen put up a fight, RAIKKONEN!

To be fair it was much better than expected, I can’t remember the last time there was so much negativity surrounding a race about potential lack of overtaking, so much doom and gloom, everyone predicting a procession. I think this even may have played a part in the first corner incident Vettel thinking he would have to go for it as he wouldn’t have another chance during the race.

Best Driver: Leclerc, keeps impressing.
Worst Driver: Grosjean, not a great home race weekend for the Swiss Frenchmen.
Best Team: Mercedes, as if we needed reminding.
Best Overtake: The brief scraps after the safety car were OK.
Best Moment: Some people in the race thread actually believing Vettel was still racing Hamilton for the win. :stoned:
DRS + Tyres: Räikkönen taking a podium from Ricciardo! Sounds good? Not with DRS. Terrible.
And the race in a sentence: I didn't like the track in other series, and it hasn't changed now. The win was never in question and the rest sort of shuffled into position a third of the way in; not a good race.

Best driver - never thought I'd say it but Kimi Räikkonen. Shame it took that to make him fight, but that was far better than your average Kimi Sunday Cruise. Shades of the way he used to get such strong results in his Lotus years from sixth or seventh on the grid. At one point Vettel was net ahead wasn't he, and you think 'typical Kimi' then suddenly he turns it on. Hamilton and Sainz were very good too.

Worst driver - Lance Stroll is an easy target but was hardly blown away by Sirotkin, Grosjean was quick but stupid and has been pathetic this season, truly pathetic. No points. So yeah, Grosjean. Has he totally lost his mind? He's all over the place.

Best team - Mercedes, they needed it and they got it without really breaking sweat.

Worst team - Williams continue to repeat their habit of having an absolute stinker of a season ever so often and show no signs of recovery. 2011, 2013, 2018. At least they've gone longer without one. But McLaren must take it this time. Best chassis on the grid my foot.

Best overtake - Kimi on Ricciardo, on the caveat that Dan had problems.

Best moment - the start was pretty wild.

DRS/tyres - pretty well balanced actually. Plenty of overtaking and my initial fear that the tyres would just last forever wasn't quite realised.

The race in a sentence - not a classic but much more like it.

Best Driver: Hamilton
Worst Driver: Sirotkin
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Raikkonen on Ricciardo
Best Moment: Magnussen taking flag in 6th
DRS + Tyres: DRS worse than ever, tires are what FIA mandate, man and live with them.
And the race in a sentence: Much more interesting and entertaining than I expected it to be.

Best Driver: No one stood out, Hamilton, Magnussan and Verstappen maximised their results.
Worst Driver: Grosjean and $troll

Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Raikkonen on Ricciardo
Best Moment: Vettel screwing up at the first corner.
DRS + Tyres: Indeed
And the race in a sentence: Not as bad as expected...

Worst Driver: Vettel

Best Team: Mercedes

Best Overtake: Seb on Fernando

Best Moment: ? Kimi and the champagne (how could that even be a question)

DRS (yes) Tires - too hard - all of them.

The race in one sentence - It is time for Marchionne to clean the driver's house and replace BOTH with Alonso and Leclerc.

Regarding passes, both Vettel and Bottas made passes in turn 11.

But did Vettel pass Hartley in turn 10 (Signes)? I recall seeing him, from a distance, exiting the chicane behind Hartley, but soon after he was ahead.

Best Driver: The-time-travelling-from-2012 Kimi Raïkkönen
Worst Driver: Sirotkin... Though that's not saying much

Best Team: Mercedes. There never was any question as to which team was going to win it
Best Overtake: Raïkkönen on Ricciardo
Best Moment: The very fact we have a French Grand Prix again
DRS + Tyres: Very decent, for once
And the race in a sentence: Much better than I was expecting

Best Driver: Kimi
Worst Driver: Seb
Best Team: Merc would have had a 1-2 in a normal race so...
Best Overtake: Räi on Ric
Best Moment: see above... Kimi getting the podium
DRS + Tyres: ..........
And the race in a sentence: Started like a fiasco, but amounted to a good race.

As the track made both myself and my wife nauseous (as somewhat expected) I can give this race no more than a zero.

Thankfully, we were only watching C4 highlights or it would have been even worse. I will certainly make a point of not watching this race next year, regardless of my other plans re F1.

Race direction was awful, Race control was little better.

Edit : Can't vote zero so voted 1.

Best Driver: Hard to choose between Hamilton & Verstappen, but a honorable mention to Kimi Raïkkönen (more races like this please, but with better starting positions!)
Worst Driver: Sergey Sirotkin

Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Raïkkönen on Ricciardo
Best Moment: Seeing a competitive Kimi getting on the podium
DRS + Tyres:
And the race in a sentence: Good return of the French GP and a good race! 7/10

Best Driver: Hamilton
Worst Driver: Alonso - gave up
Best Team:  Mercedes
Best Overtake: I can't really remember any that weren't DRS drive-pasts, people in far superior cars recovering from the back or being let past up junior team members etc, or maybe Kimi on a struggling Dan.

Best Moment: I guess just being back in France was better than the race itself
DRS + Tyres: DRS is as always a complete joke
And the race in a sentence: I have never seen such ridiculous track limit infringements go unpunished. If your going to have ludicrous run off areas you can't have people drive over them all the time without doing something about it.

Below average race therefore let's say 4/10 race but only 2/10 for the stewards.

Best Driver: Lewis Hamilton
Worst Driver: Can't really pick one. Let's say Alonso.
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Vettels charge back through the field was pretty good
Best Moment: Charles Leclerc whole weekend
DRS + Tyres: DRS is a joke, and it was showed here. Tyres ... meeehh
And the race in a sentence Decent, nothing spectacular and the track is a bit stupid

Think so yes. There were also a few in to Le Beausset just after. I was surprised how many cars were able to go side by side in to Signes in the support races, too. I was somewhat pessimistic about the layout but it actually worked pretty well. Pit entry and exit are he only modifications I would look at.

Best Driver: Hamilton/ Kimi/ Sainz
Worst Driver: Stroll (I suspect Sirotkin was told to stay behind him)
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Bottas on somebody and Danny Ric on Vettel... was at same corner, called something...
Best Moment: The first lap, highlighting how ridiculous racing in car parks can be (now the majority of F1 tracks)
DRS + Tyres: DRS overpowered, tyres gave a variance in strategy (same as Spain) and also some non-DRS passes. Perhaps we need these for the whole season.
And the race in a sentence: Not as bad as feared, actually a surprising amount of action, and despite the hideous run off it does look a challenge- 7/10

Best Driver: Hamilton/ Magnussen (Is so underrated right now)
Worst Driver: Alonso, because he's whiny baby and just needs to leave F1.
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Can't think of any specifically but there were a few good ones.
Best Moment: T1 lap 1
DRS + Tyres: DRS seemed fine, need more cheese tires for 2 stop races and get some more strategy going.
And the race in a sentence: Was ok, track is horrific though, I found myself begging for a bit of grass, hell even gravel will do. Circuit designer needs to sit in the corner and think about what he's done.

Best Driver: Kimi
Worst Driver: Alonso
Best Team: Red Bull
Best Overtake: Kimi on Ricciardo
Best Moment: Start was more exciting than usual.
DRS + Tyres: Too easy to overtake with DRS, Tyres way too hard as usual. You are not supposed to even THINK about running that long on one set of tyres.
And the race in a sentence: Better than expected, but DRS ruined it for me.

Best Driver: Lewis Hamilton/Max Verstappen
Worst Driver: Alonso, but Vettel did have his first corner red mist again. He has way too much incidents like this.
Best Team: Mercedes

WorstTeam: McLaren/Williams. If you would state this 20 years ago, you would have worn a white jacket with very long sleeves.
Best Overtake: Ricciardo vs Kimi
Best Moment: Kimi battle, though it was inevitable
DRS + Tyres: DRS shows it should be banned.
And the race in a sentence: I really wonder if everyone knew where the track was going. ;) And of course the promised rain never came... again...

I didn't watch any of the practice sessions of qualifying and dvr'ed the race and saw it late Sunday (West Coast time), I did catch various comments from forum members concerning the track and their opinions of what to expect for the race. Well while I found the track visually challenging due to all the lines the race itself was quite interesting with a lot of midfield battles and was the opposite of my expectations.

One thing that I am struggling with is the fact that a driver can cause an accident at the first corner of the first lap and impact all the other drivers, either directly or indirectly, is permitted to finish 5th and ahead of the driver he impacted the most. I'm not sure what the penalty handed done to Vettel should have been but for a three time world champion to cause such an incident a five second penalty didn't seem quite enough especially in light of the fact of his other first corner, first lap incident.

I enjoyed watching the race and scored it a solid 7.

Best Driver: Hamilton/Leclerc

Worst Driver: The Paul Ricard run-off designer. Hideous.

Best Team: Probably Ferrari?

Best Overtake: Leclerc on someone.

Best Moment: The chequered flag.

DRS + Tyres: Meh, meh.

And the race in a sentence: Every race I think 'they can't all be lousy, this race is bound to be better.' Every race disappoints.

1/10, and that's as a Hamilton fan.
