Hi All

 

This is a last minute (month) call for ideas for displays at the Gold Cup this year.

 

40 years Aurora F1 / F2 is of course the talking point on other forums and also very close to my heart.

 

What about a static display or a parade lap of ex Aurora cars (I know there are plenty a out there and some in correct livery)

 

Any contacts for car owners or ex drivers would be much appreciated.

 

(Tony Trimmer demo in an M23 would be awesome!)

 

Any ideas for any other displays / commemorations would also be received with a view to trying to follow up.

Well , it was already an historic event in 2002 , but if you could tempt back Flavien Marcais's howling BRM P180 from that year's Gold Cup, my personal cup would overflow ...

 

ps What happened to FM , not seen him race for years ?

We have an old F.1 car that might be of interest.

A non-runner but looking okay. Problem would probably be getting it up there.

I wasn't Barry, I was on auto (forgive the pun) pilot and as soon as I pressed send sat with my head in my hands saying "Barry's going to think I'm an idiot!"
