Facebook friends have reported that Jeremy passed away a few days ago, he had not been in the best of health for some time.
I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1970, just before the new season started and his team were in the process of turning a Hillman Imp into a Group 2 racer. This car had been sourced by my father who had sold Jeremy a car for his wife and then persuaded him to change his car too!
The race car was a genuine wife's shopping car, never raced or rallied and just two years old. Jeremy raced it successfully in 1970 and at some meetings he shared the car with Barry Williams or James Hunt.
