I know a certain forum member (who hates EA) that will probably not be impressed by these graphics. But, I think they look great. I liked the original Superbike game and this one looks even better. More info here: http://www.cdmag.com...rbike2k_fl.html

Altough I´m not a big bikes fan I have to admit that Superbike 99 was a great game and the new screenshots look great, even better than last year´s version.

What? Eli, you were the forum member to whom I was refering to. I guess you don't hate all EA games, after all.

I liked EAs Superbike until I played MicroProses GP500, haven't touched SB since. GP500 is much more accurate than SBK and the bikes handle a lot more realistically too.

GP500s graphics are far better too.

Currently my local PC world is selling GP500 for £14.95 - what a bargain for such a superb game.

Jsaon, who told I hate EA´s games? There are two that I don´t like: the NFS series and F1 2000 (although is not out yet I don´t like it because it´s trying to compete with GP3).
I guess I just take it easier when is not a cars game. When it comes to non racing games, I love EA´s games, specially NFL, NHL,... and all the 2000 series games.

Eli,

Sorry for jumping to that conclusion.

I don´t like it because it´s trying to compete with GP3

I think EA putting out F1 2000 will only help make GP3 even a better game. Without competition it hard to judge with is to be expected. My motto is the more F1 games there are, the better.

However, I fully expect GP3 to be the best.

Cheers

DangerMouse,

I only tried the demo of GP500. IMO, the graphics weren't as good a SuperBike. However, it was just a demo. Is the graphics on the full retail version that much better? I do agree the play control of GP500 was better than SuperBike.

Jason,

I know that, but even though I like most os EA´s games I don´t think their "one version per year" is the right think, specially for a good Formula 1 game.

I have GP500 and the graphics are terrific, as is the whole game, but is really really difficult to play, even with a sterring wheel.

Eli, I've found the bike games are really only controllable with a decent Joystick, You cannot correct a steering wheel fast enough for bike games.

Heh, I played a demo of one of them using the Microsoft Gamepad with the motion sensor. If you tilt the gamepad to one side, the bike leans over in sympathy. It's quite fun, almost like having a tiny set of handlebars. But it must look totally ridiculous to anyone watching! :)
