I dont think so. The goal is to make the performance gap between Renault and the top teams smaller. Reliability must be decent too so the points gap should decrease automatically.

The ones behind do not matter, especially if they're B-teams with Ferrari or RB cars under Dallara-Haas-Ferrari or Stephan-GP bodywork.

As far as a quick google search goes, it's actually just 10 times the turnover (7 something billion to 70 something billion).

I do expect that Red Bull has a way higher net profit margin than Renault though. Net profit might even be higher than Renault's? I am too lazy to research that though. Not that it matters anyway, but can we believe one word coming out of Cyril's mouth? I stopped believing him years ago, but yes Cyril, there is a question mark about that!

Red Bulls profit margin is 60%.  The profit margin on Renault, Dacia, Nissan and Dacia cars is certainly less than that, since they are mostly economy cars.

The utes (pickup trucks, including Nissan's mighty V8 Titan and V8 Patrol 4 wheel drives) and Renault's commercial (i.e., vans) may have a better profit margin however.

Are Renault trucks considered part of Renault cars, or is that a separate entity?  :)

They looked like fastest team apart top 3, race pace wise, until last day or two of tests. Haas was speculated to be just as fast based on those last two days if not bit faster but wasnt known for sure till Australia.

Thanks, so there testing form is quite predictive for tgeir real form.

No glory runs and no sandbagging.

Means that we can basically rely on the 2019 tests to find out their true form.

Renault can change their own testing approach. The others too. Only the race simulations might show something relevant.

We will be in the dark until Melbourne.

Anyway who the f..k cares about Max, Hamilton, Vettel, etc. in this thread??

This is about Ric, Renault and the future. Not about the past.

Anyway this topic can be closed as this move is history, this was analysed from all aspects through 55 pages. What do you expect more from this topic?

There is Renault RS19 topic where you can continue the discussions about Ric, Renault (chassis, PU), chances, etc. Probably we will have soon Ric vs Hulk topic too.

The added value of this topic is very close to zero in my view.

Without a past, there is no future.

His future predictions is based on his past.

Performance own/team and compared against teammate coming year will be seen with knowledge performance own/ex-team and compared with ex-teammates in the past.

It's always fun when i walk in a bar, gone sit at the bar and start complaining how i hate it there.

Renault trucks isn't part of it. They are owned by Volvo trucks since quite some time.

Closed while the mod team can decide what action, if any needs to be taken.

Edit: The team has decided that the news has passed and this has basically become a driver thread, so it will remain closed. Future discussion can take place in the Renault 2019 car thread, as would normally be the case, or once the season starts in a Dan vs Hulk thread.
