Seeing Natalie drag some bewildered kids around the paddock, rudely interrupt some other family's photo and Karun following her about like a dog. Definitely worth the price of Sky.

I’d go as far to say Sky F1 is currently the very worst Sky production show.

It’s a million miles from where it should be, only because they don’t have to improve it.

This proves how valuable competition from other broadcasters is- it’s so important.

I’m so happy I don’t pay for this. I feel for those who do.

If people keep paying Sky, what incentive do they have to change? Perhaps dissatisfied customers could troll them on social media (a lot of companies are terrified of that) or send letters in to national newspapers. There may effectively be no competition, but bad publicity will discourage other people from signing up.

Oh my god. They're shoving the majority of the best feature of the weekend with James Allison online? What a joke.

Embarrassing, that's the operative word. These clowns have taken heed of this forum and somehow, made their production worse. It's like some sick, sycophantic, mutual arse kissing ritual which will ultimately be called The Crofdhok Show. Utterly embarrassing split screen twaddle.

Their production has changed though, dramatically, for the worse.

I'd rather watch F1 live than not. It's **** but not enough for me not to watch.

Plus it'll be on F1 TV soon enough, we only need to wait a few years.

Anyone catch the F1 Show? If that what's it's called still.

So awks. Carlos didn't enjoy 'Crofty's' banter. Especially not being called immature by him or being mocked for how he pronounced wheelie by Pinkham.

I would like split screens in qualifying, and much cleverer TV direction so we get to see at least part of each of the fastest laps before the session ends.

Its so frustrating that in 2019 F1 still has full screen replays, and no picture in picture.

One thing of note is on football BT sports do PIP, and sky sports dont, so it wouldnt surprise me if this stupidity is down to sky (who seem to have a lot of influence on world feed).

There is a cultural element to this.  As a Brit, when I watch Indycar or NASCAR, I find the relentless positivity of the commentary very wearing.  The racing is birlliant, the drivers are all brilliant, the cars are brilliant, the track is brillaint, the teams are brilliant, the race officials are really brilliant, the drivers' wives are brillaint, their dogs are brilliant and the this show is brought to you by the Brilliant Stuff Corporation of Idaho.

In contrast, the average Brit (even before the Brexit omnishambles) tends to be a bit glass half-empty.  British commentators tend to reflect that.  It is when they go overboard that you hear the most criticism from British viewers.

But none of that excuses Mr Croft shouting so much.  And you are probably right that he is under orders from Sky to make it more dramatic in a desperate attempt to bolster their tragically poor viewing figures.

Is a producer thing I think, in interviews they same, they try to create conflict.

Why do they put PdR in the box instead of Ant when Martin is not at the race. Madness.

Ant is the only one who makes Croft almost manageable.

Completely agree.

Sky should know the strengths of their team.

The Croft and Herbert feature story duo are dreadful, from their terrible shirts to their shite banter, and vaguely racist cultural generalisations which are straight from the 70s.

The Croft riding with Raikkonen and Giovanazzi feature is only slightly less terrible.

The Dad jokes are off the scale awful. "Antonio, you like AC/DC, like Baku and Black?"

All in all Sky F1 feels like it's being created and hosted by a bunch of old codgers trying to stay relevant with the kids.

Definitely not worth the money, Channel 4 F1 is light years ahead in terms of production.

Channel 4 once again ruined the end of the race by playing a mediocre "He's a bit closer now" preview clip which tipped off the viewer that nothing more exciting happened between the final ad break and the end of the race. So I already knew Hamilton didn't get Bottas. Which is a shame because it was a fairly close battle. F1 is already boring enough without being tipped off as to what the most exciting moment is that you've yet to see happen.

I pay for SkyF1 and appreciate being able to watch the race live. That said, ‘Crofty’ was atrocious all weekend. Watching C4 now, they are miles ahead in every aspect on what must be a fraction of the budget. Frustrating....

Wow Lee Mckenzie just confirmed in my mind why shes one of the best journalists/interviewers in the paddock. Gave very balanced views on the issues with bottom teams and the new f1 female series. Plus she's easy on the eye   ;)

Crofty was truly terrible today.

"Kvyat, the man from Moscow, who is Russian around the Baku track..."

Ben Edwards wouldn't dream of going there, he doesn't need to.

Croft should be calling darts. In a small pub. In rural England.

I don't have a Sky subscription so have been buying weekend passes on Now TV when the F1 is on.

I honesty don't think it's worth the £15 or whatever it costs.

Funny that Formula Money chose to highlight this when Christian Sylt is known to be Bernie's mouthpiece and Bernie was the one who put the Sky exclusive deal in place. But, yes, hardly surprising.

I'm only doing that for certain races now. Otherwise I just try my best to avoid loading news sites until the C4 highlights come on. I didn't think I'd be saying that having watched every F1 race live since 1991. But times are changing I guess.

Because Räikkönen seemed to relax and take it as a bit of friendly talk and not PR-work.

Is anyone else being driven mad by the 'coming up' teasers that Channel  4 are using to preface their ad breaks? (Prior to the exceptional over-acting of the Bose couple which is always amusing)

If I've spent the last few hours studiously avoiding race spoilers, I don't want them inflicted upon me at random points during the highlights.

Have you not noticed - the whole point of the C4 'highlights' is simply to advertise and explain to the viewer just how good it would be to get Sky. I think Coulthard's company sold their soul to get this deal.

Doubly heinous as Kvyat isn't from Moscow at all. Croft also made a joke about Johnny Herbert's farts yesterday.

Handy for Liberty to make the case that the need for a British GP has diminished through a drop in interest.

I feel like a broken record in this thread - but once again, I’m just fed up of the constant in-jokes with the Sky team. David Croft needs to bear in mind his commentary is getting broadcast to millions of people all around the world, not just the 3 Stooges in the Sky trailer.

Well said!  I am glad I'm not the only one sick to death with the utter bullshit that Croft spouts every damn session.   How the hell he has a job doing this I cannot comprehend.  Utterly useless, he should bog off to darts or football.
