The four cylinder motorcycles from this era are to me the best looking and most interesting , athough the first twelve years of the two-strokes are fascinating,  now I know you boys are in the U.K. not Italy  but do any of you know how many of the last four cylinder MVs and Benellis were built.

I know the bikes Pasolini and Saarinen rode had different engines but does anyone know how many of each were built?

Where are they now?

The Italian sites are interesting but the google translations are , unique, and you far more info on replicas than the original bikes.

As an aside, the Italians are the masters of the replica Cafe racer shtick, while Brits master the custom Cafe racer shtick.

Although while searching for information, I was amazed at the varieties and popularity of cafe racers on the other side of the pond that popped up on-line.

Ah Benelli. While being a young apprentice I worked for a boss who owned a Benelli 900 Sei. Not quite the  four cylinder you're asking for. But to me the SEI was/is one of the most impressive bikes ever built. That sound. http://raresportbike...enelli-900-sei/

Have you tried the DeepL translator? I stumbled upon it the other day and it seems to be so much better than other translators. It does only know a few european languages though, but italian and english are covered. It's nowhere near perfect, especially for technical details, but worth a try.

The ex-Pasolini 350 Benelli was over here for the Classic TT this year, it is owned by Rob Ianucci.

I raced against that bike about six years ago.  I was on my Ducati, thought I was doing well when I came out of the first corner in second place, then Roper came past and it was good night Vienna.  It wasn't the cleanest of bikes, it looked like it had been well used.
