A buffet for 2019 US sports car racing.

Nice Pruett interview with Jackie Heinricher. Quite an intelligent and motivated woman. I don't expect the team to be competitive for some time, but I do hope the team becomes a long-term participant in the series.

The Pruett podcasts for IndyCar and sports cars have become a staple of my daily commute.  There's some real gold in the archives too.

What’s this race at Sebring this weekend and who’s competing?

Do you mean the California 8 Hour at Laguna Seca? Its a PWC event, part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

Lots of heavy hitters like a Patrick Long, not driving a Wright Motorsports Porsche.

No, I think JP refers to this, which is actually a few weeks off.

As I understand it's kind of a end of the year exhibition.  With Michelins.

Juncos Racing just got their Cadillac DPi delivered. Apparently they have one driver confirmed for the full season!

The rules are clear, which is a good thing. And more separation of LMP2 from DPi by mandating Pro-Am drivers.

Not much of a surprise, but no mid-engined Corvettes in IMSA next year.

Zanardi to race for RLL at the Rolex 24!!!

That was in the works for about 6 months, I think at this point the only unknown was what team would be running the car.

As for the Alonso news, I am looking forward to monitoring Jordan Taylor's social media feeds during January. Should be hilarious.  :rotfl:

Good news. Great to see Kamui Kobayashi join in on the fun, too.

Almost overkill really.

On a totally unrelated note, what was IMSA thinking with the color change on their new logo? It literally hurts my eyes every time I see it because I start straining them to check if the color balance on my screen is off.

It’s as if all the new gear they introduced in 2014 has faded after being washed so many times, so they decided to change the logo to match.

Might be a 2019-only thing, golden jubilee aka 50 years since they were originally established.

I can only assume the awnings provide a lot of downforce.

Any reason why Alonso/Koba wouldn't also do Sebring with WTR? They will both be there anyway with Toyota for the WEC race, why not stick around for another day and give the 12 hrs a go?

Speaking of which... any bets on how fast the Toyotas lap Sebring? Last time the Audi LMP1s were there 5 years ago they did a 1:43.8, the DPi pole last year was 1:47. Can the current TS050 go under 1:40??

If the warnings contained in the televised Viagra ads are any indication, you probably should have contacted your physician some sixteen hours ago . . .

Unlikely with some of the restrictions that they're running under this year, but 1:40-1:41 is likely in qualifying. Depends on how they handle THE BUMPS:lol:

I think they would be happy. 7 laps behind a faster class car, but the 45 is lapping faster.

So Juncos has confirmed Owen for a full time IMSA campaign, Kaiser for the 24 hs of Daytona and Binder for the totality of the North American Endurance Cup. As Agustín Canapino (former STC2000 and TC champion in Argentina and Chevrolet factory driver) was strongly rumoured to be the fourth driver for Daytona, that makes me doubt a bit about the team's full time involvement in IMSA this season as Owen seems to be the only driver, if I'm not mistaken, to be confirmed for the whole championship. Thou they have so two drivers confirmed for the NAEC.
