Will that be a penalty for Tincknell?

Ahh no, I thought it would start at 0:00 CET, just managed to catch the last 6 minutes. Seems like I've missed a great race!

Hell of a final lap there... If it were F1, that'd be a clear penalty for blocking. TBD.

And no penalty for Tincknell  John Doonan was literally bawling his eyes out at the end of the race.

In a matter of weeks they've become more predictable winners than Merc in F1 lol....

IMSA is kind of a best kept secret, unfortunately.

That turned out much closer than I thought.

Congrats too, to the winning GTD car. Told ya Robichon is a weapon.

PR1 Mathiasen takes LMP2 again.

Ford!

I haven't strictly been keeping up.  Two months or so ago it was an open question whether Mazda and Joest would part company.  Now?

It has to be said, the privateer teams and Cadillacs are really being left out in the cold. The Joesf/Penske domination makes me wonder whether the Juncos/JDC teams in particular are interested in returning for another year of running around at the back of the DPi field with a relatively uncompetitive car. I’m sure WTR and Action Express are going to be back, but the others, plus CORE’s Nissan? Makes you wonder. We may be at “peak DPi” right now.

There are two parts: Joest and Multimatic. John Doonan is publicly non-committal about the team that will run the cars next year, but he was quite complimentary of the Multimatic guys today. There have been some personel changes early this year (Ralf Jüttner going back to Germany, Leena Gade and Brad Kettler arriving on the engineering side, etc.), so I would expect much of the team to remain as it is now even if it's not under the Joest banner.

I suspect they will keep tweaking the BoP to get the Caddies closer. The Nissan would be more competitive if not for their gentleman driver Jon Bennett. Colin Braun always has to drag that thing up from the back of the field.

With roll Mazda is on now, why would they make any changes?

And Tincknell blocked Cameron after he made mistake.

Stewards should let them race with no stupid warnings.

Alice Powell to join Katherine Legge in the No.57 NSX for the Virginia IMSA race

http://www.michaelsh...-racing-at-vir/

Fresh from a W Series race win and third place championship finish at Brands Hatch...

“I am very excited to be joining Heinricher Racing and Meyer Shank Racing for the next round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship,” said Powell. “This is such a successful and well-respected team. I am looking forward to working with them and settling into driving the Acura NSX GT3. It will be my first time racing in the States and only the second endurance race of my career, so I am very keen to experience VIR.”

This sucks. The car had race winning pace when Braun was driving. I hope they can (if they are even looking) find a faster driver than Bennett who brings money.
