I understand that the little Eagle Imp has now found a new owner. Is anyone able to put the new owner in touch with me?. Stephen's photo is very useful, along with others posted elsewhere by the previous owners, but I am interested in body off shots to tie in with the use of Imp power in other variants of cars as part of my own separate ongoing 60's marque research project. It is very beneficial that I have discovered the Eagle Imp and the Elfin Imp used by KB, "down under" in period. PM me if you want to know more info, as long term research into a various ten car 1960's small marque may not interest many people.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Fahey's Nymph was also changed to Imp power...
 
Certainly it's shown as being of 875cc in 1966 at Bathurst.
 
Another Imp (are you interested in body shells?) was the uncompleted Imp-Rover/Buick/Olds Sports Sedan that was being built by Eldred Norman for his son, Bill.
 
Though I feel sure that someone later completed that car, maybe that was in a note from Lee Nicolle?

For the record...
 
Kevin Fahey's entry for Catalina Park in 1963 showed a capacity of 747cc, so there's no problem guessing that it was an Austin 7 Special. He continued with this car for a long time, but as mentioned, the capacity went up to 875cc at some time prior to Easter, 1966.
 
My recollection is that it got a Hillman Imp engine.

I wouldn't take too much notice of the fact that it shows him leading a much more modern car, he was probably being lapped. This is a very different car and situation to that of the Elfin Imp.

Which I seem to recall as having been taken out to 975cc, but I can't find proof.

Ray, my apologies for the delay in replying, I try not to be churlish.
My interest in the Imp engine is in its use in period, early to mid 60s as an alternative power unit in non saloon bodies, e.g. single seaters or sports racing cars, preferably prior to the Imp becoming a near mainstream saloon racer in its own right, when a full race motor was available off the shelf, doing it the easy way... My researchees in my researched marque were the first to use it out of the Imp body, starting the chassis design for a sports racer in the summer of 63 and getting an engine from the factory around the same time and doing their own development, so others with similar ideas and activities serve as useful additional info, especially as far away as Australia, hence my interest in KB and the little Elfin.

The car that Troy Ryan has ran at some Mallala historics in recent years. Black/ Gold roof. P76 engine and VW gearbox. 

Ken Messenger?  had it in period I believe? Seniors moment at the moment!!
