Changes for this year:
- You are free to distribute your credits over the season.
- When you join the game, you receive 100*"remaining_races" of credits. That's 2100 max.
- You are NOT limited to 100 credits per race anymore.
- The percentage of successful bids decreases over the season from 50% to 25%.
- Your entry remains valid for the whole season until you run out of credits.

Driver Market is a game for people from 9-99, and it's free!

Every player who wants to take part via Google Forms should first PM me and I'll send you a code so that i can identify your submitted entry. Last year's

codes remain valid. PM me if you've forgotten yours.

You can submit your entry then via Google Forms: Link
or if that doesn't work for you, send me a PM named "Driver Market" so i know it's an entry for the game. If you use the Google Form and provide an email

address, you'll receive a copy of your entry. This runs via a script, so I do not see your entries!


How does it work?
With your credits, you try to buy different drivers in an auction for every driver. You can choose any integer for every bid, but only bids >0

are actually taking part in the auctions. All entries are hidden to the other players until the deadline (start of FP1).

After the deadline (FP 1), i will figure out whose bids are successful and publish the entries and some stats without the code and your mail

addresses, of course. Only the highest "participating_players"*"winning_percentage" bids win in every auction(with 10 players and 50% the 5 highest

bids win). The resulting figure is rounded down, but cannot be lower than 1.

If the driver then scores some WDC points in the next race, the player gets those points, too. Winner is the player who collects the most WDC points

over the season. Tiebreakers are number of auctions won (more is better) and total credits spent on successful auctions (fewer is better).


Example with 5 players and 5 drivers to bid on, the highest 2 bids win for a winning percentage of 50%. In case the lowest winning bid is shared by more than

one player, there
can be more than 2 successful bids (see Driver3 in the example below).

Driver1 goes to Player 1

If Driver 5 wins the next race for example, Player 3 and 5 get those 25 WDC points.

If you want to change your entry, just submit a new form until the deadline! Try it out and tell me, if you do not receive an email after you send the form.

Looks like we need more rounds with few winning bids next year.

The way this last round gave me headaches tells me no.

 

On the other hand, the reason I'm not winning this season is due to my weak early season performance, which might turn me towards yes.

Yes you totally did! We were in eachothers head and went for the same drivers.

 

I think that the game is as good as it is right now. No need to change anything, we just have to study how the season unfolded.
