Heeey y'all; it's finally here, the Nascar Monster Cup Finale aka the only race that actually matters. Congratulations to you Oval fiends that survived the long 35 race stint to get to this point. We Homestead tonight.

2015-Nov-22-HMS_NSCS_112215_10.jpg

Who?

2018-nov15-championship-4-main-image-625

Contender #22 - a galling Gemini goon.

Contender #18 - a tempting Taurus troublemaker.

Contender #78 - a charming Cancer champion.

Contender #4 - a sultry Sagittarius spirit.

Why?

There is meaning and purpose to be found in Nascar.

And because after tonight, we only have the Aussie Supercars finale and some races in the Arabian desert to look forward to between now and MMXIX.

What?

Yeah man, we racin'.

Astrology chart of the race:

pCcg5cw.jpg

Chart says it's Harvick or Truex.

Let's do one Tarot card per contender -

#22 Logano:

n1Ree9W.jpg

Queen of Wands
(Queen of the thrones of flame)
Binah in the Tree of Life Astrology: 21° Pisces to 20° Aries
Element and world: The waters in the Fire of Atziluth
Tree of Life: Binah

Personifying the waters in the element of Fire, the Queen of Wands has a similiar basic as the Knight of Cups, combining opposing elements when neither of the contrasts can overcome the other, thus having an unstable balance between them.

As a queen, she is the mother of her element, the emotion and the sensitivity, thus having her attributes of love, understanding and sympathy, her abilities to form and create, spending trust and warmth. The fiery character provides pride, passion, inspiration and powerful independence, her charisma, strength and expansiveness.

Due to the imbalance in her character, the Queen of Wands can easily shift to her dark side, becoming a hot-tempered, revengeful fury, overdominant and possessive, taking the tiniest bit as a reason to bear an grudge for years. She never forgets and never forgives, and as easily her fiery temper makes her forget own mistakes, so deeply her watery depths can cause her to ponder long and broad about the mistakes of others.
Missing the stability of earth and the logic of air, tolerance and self-control never were her best disciplines.

Drive: Motion and transformation

Light: Independence, honor, spiritual visions, passion, adaptability

Shadow: Intolerance, despotism, jealousy, reckless passion

Reckless Passion huh

#18 - Kyle Busch

five-of-wands.jpg

Five of Wands - Strife
Geburah in the Tree of LifeTree of Life: Geburah through Fire
Astrology: Saturn in the 1. decan of Leo

Like all Fives, the Five of Wands stands for Geburah - motion and changing and the powers of destruction - and 5 is the number that breaks the stability and structure of the Four.

Fire isn't meant for settling and resting, and the flames burn high to break out of their own realm of the Four. This means revolutionary movements and aggressive renewals, and sometimes this isn't the most pleasant way to go. Especially not when we felt good and comfortable in the secure structure of the Four.

In the shadowy aspect, the violent disruption of the struggling flames can mean that we're just agressive and restless, making trouble for no better reason than being bored.

Drive: Challenge, the will to break out, contest, struggle, conflict, rashness

Light: Refreshment, renewal, boldness

Shadow: Struggle, conflict, destruction, spiritual crisis, prodigality, trickery

#78 - Martin Truex Jr.

Justice

Venus in Libra, standing for fairness and justice, with a clear aspect to Saturn
Zodiac: Libra
Tree of life: The connection between Geburah and Tiphareth
Element: Air
Number: 8 as the number of justice and adjustment (2 x 4, 2 x 2 etc.)

The Adjustment is a symbol for the balance of contrasts, complementing one another and also building up room and time. She combines the High Priestess and the Magician. Both are connected - true, conscious action results from realization, wisdom is based on action. The principle of activity completes itself with the passivity of inner reflection, the adjustment being the balance in between.

Another common name of this trump is 'Justice' - the card tells one to be righteous in all aspects of our life, to ignore, surpress or prefer none if need be. Only when we have an objective view of all and accept them, can we can find inner balance and silence.

Therefore, the Adjustment stands for uncompromising honesty and objectivity, the realization of cause and effect, background and consequence.

Drive: Will for knowlegde, harmony between reality and instinct, objectivity

Light: Balance, justice, fairness, always looking at both sides

Shadow: Selfrighteousness

#4 - Kevin Harvick

Two of Swords - Peace
Chokmah in the Tree of Life Tree of Life: Chokmah through Air
Astrology: Moon in the 1. decan of Libra

The Two of Swords are representing the beginning of analysis, putting the pure, undirected ideas of the Ace underneath separation and differentiation, to bring them towards a specific form and end.

Chokmah is creation and manifestation, showing the element in its best light, and so the mind gets its best chance to indicate its powers without showing its shadows. For the Swords, this means peace, since the mind is on its finest level when just administering its potentials.

Drive: Peace, arrangement of differences, a good compromise between soul and mind

Light: Beginning of analysis, balanced force, contradictory characteristics in the same nature

Shadow: Difference, disagreement, opposites calmed down by cold logic only, unsolved tensions

Enlightening, yes?

Here's someone from Miami:

So, here we are lads and ladettes; the fun starts in an hour. One last triple-sacred-boogity of this 2018 year. Let's have a great one and a true worthy champion.

Add me to the "anyone but Logano" club.

I'd like to see Truex win it again tbh.

Only issue I'd have with Logano winning is it would be a case of deserving full season performers, Busch, Harvick (albeit with 2 rules violation wins and a third shoving Busch out of the way at NH that was harder than Martinsville), or Truex not being rewarded with the dopey system. It would be roughly equivalent to Riccardo or Kimi taking the title next weekend based on one result.

Gibbs/Toyota clearly have an advantage in recent years here (remember Edwards in 2016 before the end of race cautions) - again it's why one race shootouts don't cut it. Not to mention the issue of non contenders being involved and how hard they're supposed to race the top 4 and truly contest the win.

Jp needs that West African prince to send him an email / PM now that he’s home in Blighty. Cuz he ain’t givin’ that Irish mafia any money.

Have to cook dinner for the kids first though.
I’d say I’ll be ready around the end of Stage 1
( Do they even bother with stages for the final? )

Seeing as there’s no “What Ya Cooking” segment....
Take out is a likely option.
