I regret to share the sad news that the great French Ferrari enthusiast and historian Jess G. Pourret reportedly passed away last Saturday, aged 86. He had been living in Thailand for some time. His great work on the Ferrari 250GT family of cars became a bible for many who followed.  Sincere condolences to his surviving relatives and many friends.

His Ferrari 250 GT book is the first 'serious' car history book I bought:

Very sad news. Condolences to his family and friends. His books have been such of importance for many passionate people around the world. Thank you Mr Pourret.

According to his instructions, he will be cremated in Thaïland after a ritual religious ceremony and his ashes taken back in France to be buried in Tharoiseau cementery near Vezelay (La coline éternelle - The eternal hill), with Jess’mother.
