Uglier cars with doubtful improvement in following closer and, supposedly, overtaking. But, I'd say, more racing interrupted by wing damage so that will even itself out. Still Pirelli, still two compound rule, still fragile hybrids, so F-conservation will probably continue. No chance of a fight at Mercedes, especially after seeing Bottas today, and RBR. The only exciting thing will be Leclerc at Ferrari. Hopefully the team and its fans don't turn him into damaged goods. A miracle upswing by Renault is something to look vaguely forward to as well. So when is 2023?

2. New aero regulations.
3. Redbull with a new engine partner.
4. Mclaren making a big restructuring of their technical team. Brand new driver pairing. 2019 will be Sainz's 5th season and Norris' debut. 2nd year of Renault partnership who will bring a new ICE. Will be interesting to see how the dawn of a new era starts for Mclaren.
5. Vettel vs Leclerc.
6. Daniel Ricciardo's new journey with Renault.
7. Kubica's comeback.
8. Young debutants Norris, Russel and Albon if he is signed up.

A fair bit of hubris and confidence from Marko and Verstappen about the level the Honda PU will be in 2019, but is there any solid evidence that Honda will be making a big step forward in power and reliability? I don't see any such lavish claims from Honda.
And Renault. What hints that they will (or will not) make a decent step over the winter break? I did hear Alain Prost making a fairly unspecific claim that they will be in the game in an interview with Sky over the Abu Dhabi weekend.

I think this has the potential to be one of the best seasons yet:
New drivers in 8/10 teams.
New regulations.
Positive news from Honda regarding progress.
Renault claiming progress across the entire platform and RIC in the seat.
Redbull with VES making a potential title run
Ferrari with VET/LEC and a potential internecine battle...shades of 2014?
The potential for a closer mid-field battle brought on by New Regs.
So many new drivers!!!!

There is no such rule, it’s all about the numbers. Besides, there’s always an exception for Mark Marquez
